The Fishing Port Facility Inspection System is an app that uses location information (latitude and longitude information in Exif data) from saved or captured image files to determine inspection locations and easily register fishing port facility inspection information.
In 2017, the app won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award at the 1st Infrastructure Maintenance Awards, sponsored by six ministries including the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. (Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism page)
To extend the lifespan of fishing port facilities, it is necessary to easily perform routine facility inspections. Furthermore, in the event of a disaster, immediate communication of the facility's status is crucial for disaster prevention.
To address these issues, the All Japan Fishing Port Construction Association (AFICA) has developed a system for capturing, inputting, transmitting, and storing current status data, primarily photos, of fishing port facilities using smartphones, creating a database, and then utilizing that data.
This app registers inspection information, including image data, in that database.
An ID and password are required to use this app. For more information, please contact the All Japan Fishing Port Construction Association.
