It seems that this app is not support on andriod version 6.0.1 yet, on my first device when I opened any book that I have purchase it's said " error reading file unable to read book. there is a problem in the page. please contact the support " but I can open anybook normally on my second other device that running on andriod version 4.4.2 Hope your team will investigate and fix it very soon Regards Jittinun

Need better design The app works fine and I have no complain about the functionalities of this app, but I don't like its design because it looks really boring. Since many other apps have been updated to a modernized looking like material design, so I hope this app will also be updated soon and look better.

いいアプリ the recent update makes the app much simpler to use, and i am happy to finally have a legal route for getting ahold of native-language material in the States.

SD card storage would make 5 star. This is such an awesome app for reading manga in their original language. I really love this app.The only reason I had to give it 4 stars is because I haven't found an option to store downloaded manga on SD card. I have 16GB internal storage which is very full up. The manga I've downloaded so far is 3.17GB... Why can't I store the manga on my 128GB SD card??? It makes it harder for me to want to purchase more manga when I have no internal storage space left. :-S

Great App Great app for getting Japanese texts in the Japanese language. Kinda annoyed the store has to open in a separate browser but thats not a big deal. I understand genuine complaints and giving the app a low rating for it but not if that comlaint is that the app isnt in English. The point of this app is to be in Japanese. It is a Japanese ereader for Japanese text if you cannot read Japanese or have no interest in doing so then dont download the app and dont complain if u do download it, u look stupid honestly

Easy to purchase books even from overseas This is only the reader with few sample books. But purchasing actual books (novels, manga) is easy even from outside of Japan. Requires credit/debit card though, no google wallet or paypal support. No need to fake address or location. Books seem to cost same as physical ones. However manga resolution seems to be less than what modern tablets are capable of and as such small font in mangas is difficult to read. The reader has some usability issues too, but nothing serious. Anyway highly recommended for novels.

すごい! Pff stupid people not realizing this app is for those who can read japanese. Don't mind the low scores, this is a great app. There are some issues they should fix to make reading more comfortable, but it's not very important. Huge collection of books, it's very easy to buy and browse, cheap - they make lots of discounts, and there are even some free books you can read before buying something. Awesome app overall.

Great way to practice reading in Japanese Hate seeing so many low stars just because the app and its books aren't in English. App works great, and I love saving so much money not paying shipping for overseas books. Want manga in English? Use another app, but don't rate this one bad for doing what it is designed to do. (^_^)

Fairly good manga-reading app This may not be the easiest-to-use book-reading app, but it does its job. Besides, what other options do we have? They have a huge selection of manga's to choose from at reasonable prices.

It's awesome I do really love Japanese manga, even though I can't understand most of the Kanji (I'm a Filipino) I still understand most of it because I can read some Kanji, katakana and hiragana... I love this app and I hope they can improve more...

Excellent. Please add a disclaimer that the books are in Japanese so that people don't keep slamming the app for dealing in JP books only. That said, this is THE most convenient way to get your hands on JP books and manga. 1) Nothing beats the convenience of being able to read any book in your collection at any time, anywhere. Plus, being able to purchase books instantaneously is great. 2) The light novels (which is what I mainly use it for) are pretty cheap. About 3~4 bucks per? 3) Love the larger font size that they use, as compared to the physical novels. Would be nice if they provided an option to make the margin space smaller. 4) The app flips pages without lag (there is some lag when opening the book, but once its loaded the pages flip smoothly). Very little stability issues. Now, the bad; a. The app can be confusing for first-time users. It's divided into their "trunkroom", a cloud storage for your novels, and your local storage. You need to dl the books from the trunkroom into your local storage to read. b. It takes some time for EbookJapan to bring in books. Abt a month or more. They do have a user-submitted request option though. Enjoy!!

Best platform to get original Japanese manga and magazines This app is primarily targeted at customers who would like to get original Japanese comics and magazines. I think the breadth of the coverage for manga from old to the latest is probably the best at present. With regard to this reader app, it works as it should and its quaity is ok, but the reading quality lacks natural touch for paging and zooming. Additionally, the app requires the downloaed content but I think there should be an option for streaming content. For these points, my take is that the app alone rating should be 3-3.5 stars. Like it but definetely wish more updates to make reading experience better.

Sucks Very, very, very, confusing

font size is too big!!! Although I select the smallest font size, the font size still very big, and the margin space is very big! The font size and margin is wasting the screen space and very uncomfortable. I want show more text in each page!

Good It seems good so far, but for all the people complaining about it not being in English, of course it isn't, it was made to buy Japanese language books. If you can't read enough Japanese to understand the menus, why do want to buy books you obviously can't read either?
