JM-Safety is an app that provides peace of mind at sea with three features: "Overboard Detection," "Ship Location Sharing," and "Safety Monitoring."

■ Overboard Detection
With the Overboard Detection Unit and the JM-Safety app, you'll be notified of potential overboard incidents with an on-screen display and an audible alarm. You can check the status and location of the overboard incident on a map and use icons to support rescue efforts. Overboard notifications are sent to your loved ones via smartphone.

■ Ship Location Sharing
With the JM-Safety app, you can stay aware of dangers around you. The real-time locations of nearby vessels (*1) are displayed on a map. The app predicts future vessel positions (*2) and provides voice, vibration, and alarm messages to alert you to potential approaches and collisions. It also provides early warnings in the event of earthquakes or tsunamis.

*1: Displays the locations of vessels equipped with AIS (Automatic Identification System) and JM-Safety app users. The JM-Safety app allows you to set whether or not to share your location with others.
*2: The app calculates the time until closest approach and predicts whether or not you will collide with nearby vessels. You can also set a warning circle and receive notifications of the direction of approach when a vessel or other object enters the circle.

■ Safety Monitoring
Your loved ones, such as family and friends, can share your safety and location via smartphone. If you suspect something is wrong, they can immediately check your status and location at any time, including your overboard detection. (*3)

*3: You can register notification recipients for your overboard detection unit in the JM-Safety app. Registered notification recipients must also have the JM-Safety app installed.

● This app is free to use, but communication charges apply.
● This app communicates with the overboard detection unit using Bluetooth® Low Energy. Depending on usage and communication conditions, it may not be able to completely detect and notify you of overboarding or the risk of approaching or colliding with nearby vessels.
● This app uses your smartphone's location service to achieve the following functions.
1. "Overboard detection function": Acquires and records location information of points where the overboard detection unit detects a risk of overboarding.
2. "Where is the ship sharing function": Displays the JM-Safety app user's location on a map, and acquires and records location information as an indicator for determining the risk of approach or collision with nearby vessels.
3. "Safety monitoring function": When a JM-Safety app user is at risk of overboarding or an accident, the app acquires and records the location information of that point, and notifies nearby users and registered notification addresses of the acquired location information.
● This app is intended to be used as an aid for early detection and early rescue in the event of a risk of overboarding, and to provide peace of mind by supporting safe navigation. However, it does not guarantee effectiveness as legal evidence in the event of an accident, or safety such as danger avoidance or lifesaving.
● To delete your user information (account), follow the steps below. Go to the "Settings" tab → Long press the "User ID" field, then follow the on-screen instructions.
