Overall the game is fun, BUT since it's a phone app it's a lot about the money. It's too hard to get gems at a quick rate without paying. Plus eventually you will only be able to achieve a set amount of gems from leveling up. I've gotten 2 level 35's and I'm still working on 1 box. Then the stages only get you one box. Which at this point it takes about 2 days to clear a stage. Quite simply this game needs more gems. Also the coin system for the card trader is kind of trash.
I got more into yu-gi-oh after playing this game. The graphics are great, gameplay is smooth and the system is pretty great. Spending money for the gems is to speed up your progress. It isn't impossible, it's just that of your patience. If you'll just take time to earn gems without spending real money then I don't see much problem to that. Patience is virtue they say. Other game's system of giving rewards such as gems and coins makes some of the user to drop the game at some point, however, this game's way of dealing this is good that I haven't dropped it yet. Played for more than a month and so far, it's great. Thank you for making this game. Keep it up!
It's fun, for the most part. Till you get to the drop rates for booster boxes. How can you spend every gem you earn and still manage to avoid getting any of the actually decent cards in the box? Most of my decks are still running off the initial booster packs I got in the beginning. Seems kinda... Just okay. Sorry.
Love the fact that it's based on the original bunch of characters, and cards (for the most part). Though it made me instantly pine for the full size game, the smaller field and deck make for a faster game, and higher customisation. AI seem decent, but I'm not far. As for being "impossible" to get gems, and thus, new cards, its not. It operates the same way any successful mobile game does, which is pay to speed ahead, or knuckle down and grind out the tasks and ultimately time to get the same things. It's no slower than anything else, but they're all paced to make you wanna buy to get further faster.
It's awesome and helped me understand it. I was more of a Pokemon fan myself but after playing this for a bit yu-gi-oh is pretty sweet. But for players who don't have constant data or Wi-Fi (such as my self) you should add like a offline mode or version so that way we can still enjoy it when we don't have internet access. Otherwise great work.
Had a weird bug where downloading the English version causes the game to freeze on my Pixel during the initial download. After multiple times, I tried downloading in another language (Italian) and this worked. I was able to switch back to English and download the game correctly this time which is now working completely. The game is great though and was worth the trouble.
