No remote function Used to work great, but for some time now when trying to link to the camera to use the remote control function the app just crashes/locks up. There has been at least one app update and one camera firmware update, but it still doesn't work.
App has numerous bugs, will grab strongest wifi signal always (like your house) instead of allowing you to choose which Wi-Fi signal to grab to link to camera; app hangs, requires restart (On top of the line LG-G4 android with latest updates and Android 5.1), push "wi fi" settings gives error of "unfortunately Olympus Image share has stopped," which closes even the settings function, On-off feature (a slide to operate) bombs phone requiring app closure; and then, you must "set up" the wi fi again. All in all, the remote function is incredibly cool but the app is horribly buggy.
Geotaging stopped syncing logs With my LG G2 and Android 5.0.2 my E-PL7 worked without a hitch, but only till latest upgrade. Now the phone connects to my camera, finds photos but fails to syncronize the geotags. Please fix this as this was single most useful feature of the program for me. I'm using the latest firmware on the camera. I would rather install an older version but need a link for download.
at the moment it's mostly useless You can't manage the camera as in Panasonic ImgApp, for example. You can't focusing normally 'cause you can't zoom view and not able to MF, can't use AEL, can't shoot HighRes (!), can't... almost anything you need. LiveView is fataly useless. App can be used as Remote shooter, but doing so eat much battery and WiFi enabling tooks too much time and movements. So wired remote shooter is just much easier, faster and economic. This time I'm very disappointed >:-(
TG4 Works on-off with Nexus 5, works well on ASUS ZenFone 5 1) latest update to support Android 5 better, seems to have stabilised the connection, TIP** Turn off VPN if you have it running in the background or else it won't work. 2) for some strange reason, it still messes with the 3G connection while connected to the private Wi-Fi with TG4 on my Nexus 5. Not so for the ASUS ZenFone 5. It's getting less buggy which is great cos phone control of camera is awesome & file transfer is so convenient for sharing.
I recently purchased a TG-4 for my partner who is obsessed with social media. Number 1 at the top of my list of requirements was fast, simple and easy connectivity to a variety of platforms, but mainly her phone. After seeing the reviews as I was downloading the app, I have to say I was concerned based on the poor ratings recently. No need. The app delivers on its promises. Simple, clean interface, connects to the camera easily and it works. I have tested this on 2 phones 1 high end (AUD$1000+)and 1 low end (<AUD$150) and it works perfectly on both. The area that needs wotk is probably the photo editor. It is functional, but incredibly basic. If you want to edit your photos look at something like Snapseed, which is outstanding. Other than that, a great experience.
Support for the latest cameras.
Support for Android 5.
This app lets you control a Panasonic Wi-Fi camera/camcorder via a smartphone.
