[Main features]

・You don't need to carry your plastic JAF membership card around with you, you can display it on your smartphone!

・JAF members can receive benefits at approximately 44,000 preferential facilities nationwide,
easily search for JAF member preferential facilities of various genres around your current location!

■App coupons
・We also deliver app coupons that are not listed in "JAF Mate" or "JAF PLUS"!

■Easy request for road service
・Peace of mind in an emergency! You can call for road service with the app even when it is difficult to get through on the phone.
・If you have any car trouble while you are out, such as a dead battery or a flat tire, this app is the one to use.
・You can request everything through the app, but you can also switch to a phone call even in the middle of entering information, and the information you enter is automatically linked to the call center, which is convenient.

[Notes on use]

- This app requires registration and login with a JAF login ID and password.

- Allowing location information makes it easier to use preferential searches and road services.

- Continuing to use the location information function may consume a lot of battery power.

- If the location information acquisition setting is set to "approximate location information", your current location may not be identified and some functions may become unavailable.

- This application is for JAF members. Non-members can also use it, but there are restrictions on the functions that can be used.

- The operating environment for this app is Android 7 or later.

- For inquiries about OS updates, please contact the manufacturer or mobile carrier.

- On tablet devices, the digital membership card screen may not be displayed correctly, such as being misaligned.

- If a malfunction occurs, updating the app or deleting the app that is currently installed and reinstalling it may resolve the issue.

- After updating to the latest OS, some of the app downloads and display operations may become unstable.

・Downloading and using the app incurs communication fees, which are the responsibility of the customer.
・If you are using a security app that blocks ads and protects your privacy, you may not be able to log in.

[If you cannot update the app or it closes]

Please try the following.
・Try restarting your smartphone.
・Check the available space on your smartphone.
・Delete the app that is being installed and then reinstall it.
・Check your communication status. If you are not in a stable communication environment, you may not be able to install the app.

Ratings and reviews

No idea if the app is any good. JAF apparently give support in English language. NOT in this app. Everything in Japanese. Setting up the app, you need a good password. All good, but it won't allow pasting of passwords from Password Managers. WTH! Trying to log on to the JAF My Page pushes you out of the app in to a browser and so far I've been unable to log in. As a gaijin the app is pretty much useless. From a security point of view, it is dreadful as it encourages use of simple passwords.

It would be really great if you can please launch an English version of JAF mobile application to make foreigners be able to use to the fullest of its services. Currently I am unable to use the app properly because of Japanese language version. Please consider a language update. Thank you.

Picked JAF as it is supposed to have English language support. Well... the app doesn't. From what I can see the app is merely a way to serve ads to you. Unfortunately the app seems pointless.
