Sending back XHM82 (£400) cos of this app Given the easiest way to control a huge NAS of music on a network audio player is with an app, Pioneer have gone very wrong with this app. Paginated scrolling is torture. No search facility. Slow to load screens and you have to tap screen on Lollipop to get rid of the waiting timer. Often says cant connect to unit. App lists unit as a CD player and its a network player. Unit crashes if you adjust volume whilst track streaming from app. Had system playing things for an hour that's enough for me :(
Horrible Now pandora no longer works, I have had this for over a year and always has issues. First pioneer and will be my last, will be going with another receiver and returning this under extended warranty because of this experience. Come on now! A year and a half and still cant get it right?
Its buggy, after selecting anythig, must touch the lcd again to refresh.
Won't open in Android 5.1 I was grateful for this app, but now it won't open. Ploughing through my enormous list of artists (on my NAS) to get to the one I want, using the remote would, frankly, make me want to get a refund on my NP01. Wow, the machine's interface needs a real re-think. Take a look at what LG did with their Squeezebox etc - much more intuitive (I got one four years ago but it broke after two years - hence the Pioneer). Pretty please give this app and, more importantly, the machine's firmware, a major overhaul!!!
Horrible basic. Ruins experience This app is the reason I'm selling my speaker and buying a sonos. It is so frustrating, slow and primitive. It ruins the whole wireless experience. No update for 2 yrs. No more pioneer for me. Six months later and still no change. Do not buy pioneer.
No search... Really? How am I supposed to find all the Internet stations I want to listen to? And no, registering the device and doing it online is not an option. All i get is "server error" when I want to get the access code.... Maybe you make good hardware, Pioneer, but when it comes to software you're nothing but a bunch of amateurs. It's buggy as hell too, by the way. Read all other reviews for details...
