FAIL! Is it really that difficult to build a simple plain-text (txt) editor that actually works? It appears the answer is "Yes", judging by this and many other apps I've tried, which just don't cut it. Believe it or not, IT IS NOW POSSIBLE FOR APPS TO SAVE TO SD CARD if the app asks for the correct permissions. I recommend the app "QuickEdit", which actuality works and is also far better to use, with a much more professional-looking interface and menus etc.
Since the latest swift key keyboard update I can't write anything within this app anymore. Outside of this app, everything works just fine. Seems to be a problem with SwiftKey but it only relates to my use of Jota Text Editor.
At start, it was good. But it crashes. Even after I save the file, specify a path ("save as") and then save work repeatedly using the save button from the editor but window, I can find no trace of my work. This is the worst kind of bug. I've lost my work 3 times on different occasions. I liked it, but I don't trust it anymore and neither should you. Pixel 2 - 8.1
How to enable syntax highlight for assembler? Very bad app!!!
It is almost perfect, thank you very much but I can not open clipboard in the app, please fix it.
Jota is exactly what I was looking for in a text editor. Very simple, yet also very powerful.
