Nou-Soyogi is a gentle brain-training app that seniors can enjoy every day. No complicated menus. Press one big button and today's training begins.
■Five games
Numbers. Easy arithmetic, including "money questions" that ask for the change when shopping, keeping everyday skills fresh.
Memory. Watch the pads light up, then tap them in the same order.
Colors. Tap the ink color of the word without being fooled by its meaning, a classic focus exercise.
Shapes. Guess what the black silhouette is. 30 different objects.
Tap 1-2-3. Tap the scattered numbers in order from 1, training attention and processing speed. The sound and red flash for a wrong tap can be turned off in Settings.
■Hard mode
When the usual course feels easy, switch to Hard. Arithmetic goes to two digits, memory sequences get longer, the color game becomes six choices with reverse questions, and silhouettes rotate with four choices.
■Encouraging, never rushing
Results are shown with stars and a calendar of your training days, including your current streak. There are no time limits, no scores to chase, and no rankings. Mistakes are corrected gently.
■Private by design
Completely free with no ads. No personal data is collected. Records stay only on your device. Once opened, the app works offline.
■Easy on the eyes
Three text sizes (large, extra large, huge), calm high-contrast screens, and optional sound effects and music.
■15 languages
Japanese, English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Korean, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Turkish, and Hindi.
Nou-Soyogi is provided free of charge as a public good by Soyogi, a care and support counseling service in Japan. Use it at home, in care facilities, or at day services, freely.
