About this app

Keepass2Android is an open source password manager application for Android. It is compatible with the popular KeePass 2.x Password Safe for Windows and aims at simple synchronization between devices.

Some highlights of the app:
* Stores all your passwords in a securely encrypted vault
* compatible with KeePass (v1 and v2), KeePassXC, MiniKeePass and many other KeePass ports
* QuickUnlock: Unlock your database once with your full password, re-open it by typing just a few characters - or your fingerprint
* Synchronize your vault using the cloud or your own server (Dropbox, Google Drive, SFTP, WebDAV and many more). You can use "Keepass2Android Offline" if you don't need this feature.
* AutoFill service and integrated soft-keyboard to safely and easily pass the passwords to websites and apps
* Many advanced features, e.g. support for AES/ChaCha20/TwoFish encryption, several TOTP variants, unlock with Yubikey, entry templates, child databases for sharing passwords and more
* Free and Open-Source

I find this too frustrating trying to sync db with Google Cloud, many times I've found it seems to have several copies of the same db and doesn't sync local changes back to Cloud or sync more recent Cloud changes to local. When duplicate versions of the same db show in local list I cannot figure out which is the right one to use and how to get rid of the others. I've lost changes too many times because of failed synchronization, moving on to try something else.

After first startup somehow I'm left with two databases and one hidden backup. If I select the wrong one (I assume /data/data??) then it forces the other into read only. Trying to enter a password I get 'a field name is required for each string'. Biometric unlock automatically asked for setup twice. Trying to open a file from Google drive fails on some of my Google accounts. For the first time using this app it's frustrating and unintuitive.

Has a Dark mode! Woo Hoo! A few of quirks in the UI made me scratch my head (I managed to switch databases to use the offline copy somehow which prevents you from entering a new password entry). No prompts told me that I was offline - just a missing button was a clue that something was up. Weird but just a "Doh!" moment once I figured out out

Sounds like you have opened the local backup of the database. Please select "Change database" on the password screen, then make sure you open the actual database from the recent files list and not its Local backup (which is readonly)!
