Needs to be calibrated for the Google Pixel. In a quiet room, the app reads 43 dB on the Pixel, vs. 27 on my Galaxy S7 Edge. The Sound Analyzer App by Dominique Rodrigues only differs by 4 dB between the two phones. Also, it has no ads.
I give an honest review of inaccurate of results that I've received and my review gets taken down. This app doesn't work and is off by as much as 20db in standardized testing. Don't rely on it to display results within the same order of magnitude of what you're actually testing.
On my Google Pixel, it reads 43 in a quiet room, while on my Galaxy S7 Edge it correctly reads 26 dB. Can you please calibrate on the Pixel?
Great, fun thing. Love the comparative chart which shows you what the noise level is like compared to street traffic and nearby aircraft.
I have a handheld db meter and on my note 4 this reads the same as it from 35 to 85db. Didn't test above this yet.
Simple & does the job. Great for monitoring your environment & seeing if you need hearing protection.
