About this app

The PlaneEnglish Aviation Radio Simulator (ARSim) is an interactive simulator created to enable pilots to learn and master aviation radio communication and gain the confidence to overcome the fear and trepidation of talking to Air Traffic Control.

Instantaneous feedback through voice recognition and speech analysis guides new pilots through realistic scenarios toward proficiency in aviation phraseology and communication.

Users can access more than 150 airports and step through over 200 lessons of interactions with air traffic control for all phases of VFR and IFR flight.

Guided by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) phraseology, standards, and radiotelephony procedures the current version of the simulator focuses on the FAA phraseology standards. Upcoming improvements will enable users to switch between ICAO and FAA standards.

New pilots can gain critical safety skills in an accessible and effective way and build critical muscle memory thereby expanding the learning opportunities...beyond the classroom and outside of the cockpit.

I ise the service from the web most of the time because the android app is unusable for me. It doesn't record my speech all the way to the end. Recording will stop automatically with even the slightest pause in speech. The service from yhe web interface is good, but I'm missing out on the convenience of the phone app.

App worked during the trial period. I purchased one year VFR subscription. My account showed two licenses - expired trial and new one. The mic feature stopped working. I contacted ARSim and explained the issues. They said since I purchased through Google, they couldn't do much on their end. Tried removing the license, then re-entering the license key; that didn't work at all. Still hoping someone can fix the issue. App was great when it worked. Now I'm out $60 with no access.

Hey Jared, all the features of ARSim are in working order. Perhaps an update to the app to make sure the latest version is installed might be of help. We were happy to see that you were able to cancel the subscription and get the full refund from Google on the same day!

This app is proving to be very helpful with my studies and my career. The voice recognition doesn't catch your words sometimes but that, doesn't bother me since it's doing its job in the end. I would also like to note that I had to contact tech support because I entered my license key In the wrong area and they were very swift and helpful in getting fixed. That means a lot these days when purchasing apps and softwares. Overall, this app is awesome and I will be using it for awhille!
