Veda means knowledge. The Vedic knowledge translated and commented by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhakthivedanta Swami Prabhupada (also known as Srila Prabhupada) provides the torchlight for illuminating the spiritual pathway through this dark jungle of the age of Kali(age of quarrel).
Due to association with the the material nature, a living entity is entangled in the 3 modes of material nature (goodness, passion and ignorance) and therefore he/she has to face all the miseries of material existence like birth, death, old-age and disease. Now if the same associating tendency is used for associating with pure devotees of the Lord, he/she can be liberated from the material existence and fulfill the mission of human life.
As Srila Prabhupada pointed out often, there are 2 ways of associating with the spiritual master(a pure devotee): through his physical presence (vapu) and through his instructions (vani). Sometimes we can associate with spiritual master physically and sometimes not; but we can associate with him always through his instructions.
The number of quotes Srila Prabhupada quoted are innumerable and are not limited by time and space. This app is a humble attempt to spread the vani of Srila Prabhupada and to give people a chance to associate with him.

Namaste! Welcome to the Bhagavad- Gita Mobile App. We are happy you have arrived and it will be our pleasure to serve you. Here you will be presented transcendental knowledge of the most profound spiritual nature as revealed in the Bhagavad- Gita. It is the divine discourse spoken by the Lord Krishna Himself and is the most popular and well known of all the sacred scriptures from ancient India. Always being revered as a true source of spiritual knowledge it reveals the purpose and goal of human existence.
We are happy to present the Bhagvad Gita as it is in the Audio files
The Bhagavad Gita is often regarded as the greatest of all the "Hindu Upanishads".
The epic Mahabharata is traditionally ascribed to the Sage Ved Vyasa; the Bhagavad Gita, being a part of the Mahabharata, is also ascribed to him.
Date of composition
Theories on the date of composition of the Gita vary considerably. Scholars accept dates from fifth century to second century BCE as the probable range. Professor Jeaneane Fowler, in her commentary on the Gita, considers second century BCE to be the likely date of composition. Kashi Nath Upadhyaya, a Gita scholar, on the basis of the estimated dates of Mahabharata, Brahma sutras, and other independent sources, concludes that the Bhagavad Gita was composed between fifth and fourth centuries BCE.
