Simple, fast, ad-free. This is a minimalist app that's truly free. It does exactly what it needs to do without anything extraneous to get in the way, without ads, and without any upselling. FYI, Tasker integration isn't documented very well -- it's found under Plugins in the Tasker action choice list, for whoever else might be looking.
Default directory not showing up I'm not sure whether I'm doing something wrong, but I've followed every tutorial out there, and according to those, I should be able to select my folders in default directory. However, whenever I try to tap it, there's no response (as in it just shows a "/" and I can't go further from there) i have given it permission to access everything it needs to. rest of it seems to work fine, but this issue makes the app unusable. It may be because I'm using android nougat and it's not optimised for that yet
The best by far I love this and I've been using it for a while on my other phones. Connecting over USB cable to android can be such a pain. With this I just turn on the server. Connect. Copy. Done. No messing around hoping my phone will turn up in explorer or only being able to access a small part of the filesystem. Best of all. No adverts. The creator has made a simple and functional ftp server without bloat. I rate this program 11/10 :)
Easily transfers files from tablet to phone Using ES File Manager to act as the ftp client on my phone, I was able to quickly copy several folders of audio books from my tablet. Other apps like Xender failed miserably. Using Chrome (on my phone), I was able to log in to FTPServer and see all of my files, but not transfer them, so what you're trying to use as the client on the receiving end makes a big difference. 5 stars +++++!
The fastest I achieved the highest speeds with this FTP server, by a vast marign, and I've tried many. Works flawlessly. An option to see the plain text password would be appreciated though. Also a general "WIFI" option in allowed connections types, instead of listing current wifi connections. Edit: Now I saw there is a problem with timezones. All file times displayed in the ftp client are shifted by 3 hours compared to other ftp servers where this is not an issue. Please fix the timezones issue.
What I wanted - had to be tweaked to work on my Note 4 kitkat If you know anything about FTP, this was extremely easy to set up, connected instantly and worked very fast. With the limitations of Kit Kat you can no longer write to the external SD card. The work around for this "security feature" was supplied by a quick response from the programmer.
- Fixed MLST response
