The only one that uses SMB v2 and v3 in the Play Store. I have SMB v1 disabled on my computer because of all the security risks. I would like some more options though for Sync schedule like "When charging" "When connected to WiFi" and also Tasker support.
Works with Marshmallow (6.0.1) on Galaxy S5, using daily. Only disappointing quirk - to change target directory, have to quit the connection and reconfigure the apps stored-server-parameters - so it ends up a two-stage process: transfering between spool directories, then using a file manager app to move the files from spool dir to final destination. Have had two hickups in a month, a many-file transfer of directory tree - a little tedious to work out which file failed, and where to restart - the failure may be network or the server box, not the app, but the app has no smarts to aid recovery. Love the conservative approach to permissions.

Just what i needed! A simple and powerful tool for samba shares for my home server. What is more importsnt is that without any annoying ads. Just replaced with ez explorer. Superb!

The app is rather inadequate for my needs: what I would prefer is something that can do true two-way sync, or at the very least give a full list of the changes it's going to make instead of just a summary. However, this is the only app I've found that can talk to the cifs server I use.

sucks ass!!! I was able to upload simple text file but when I tried to transfer larger files it would say upload complete but the file on the target system would be zero bytes. useless! uninstalling!!!
Connects to SMB v2/3 shares created by Win10. Cannot open files directly, must download file first.

Excellent app. This is the only one I've found that lets you download fast from an SMB share. Getting around 8000kbs transfer speed, where as other apps only get around 600 - very good for transferring music.
I use this app to manage my NAS, initial setup was challenging to get the handshake. But now I use it everyday, I just wanted to thank you for your efforts. My hope is you release it as a FOSS on FDROID.
I've used this great app ever since I got an Android phone. I just got an Android tablet, and discovered the "sync" feature of this app. The app allows file copying to/from Windows shares easily. I've used it to pull music from my home server and back up photos from my phone while out and active, not needing to plug in or dock somewhere. Very handy.
Quite good, but terribly slow when working via openvpn tunnel, which is strange, because some updates ago it was all good.
Great app, got the pro version to support the developer. Only improvement to make would be the ability to change the date format for non-US users (pro feature?).
can't copy and paste with smb v1 disabled to prvent the wannacry malware after that upgrade. Please workaround this!
Works a treat! Very easy to use and my preferred method of transfer from mobile to PC :)
Nice App. Works with Samba running on Linux. Hate the ads and uninstalled it.
Not good can't play linux files, doesn't tell you where it downloads files, can't handle some file types. I use total commander with samba plugin - faultless - i can play a movie over the LAN with TC but not this? WTF!
It will access your file servers no problem, however such a simple app somehow found a need to create a pro version. I didn't find a way to upload files (it said file transfer failed) so I assume you need the pro version for that. I switched to a 3rd party file explorer supporting samba and ftp protocols so this app is now completely useless
Cannot Upload Files Downloading files is all good. If I try to upload anything from the phone it throws a Java communication error regardless on WiFi or mobile data. I have tried reinstalling the application and restarting the phone to no avail
Does everything it should. You can read and write from a samba share. You can download to a per share configurated location on your phone. The app has sane permissions (only file access) and banner ads at the bottom (no pop ups). Two things though: on adding a samba share I had to enter any username in addition to checking anonymous, otherwise it would complain about the address. On folder up it every time starts from the top so you have to scroll down again.
Only SMB sync app that work as I need. Believe me I tried and spend enough time make all main stream sync apps working for my wish, but all had some problems (some does not connect PC share, some downloads all files even if it is not changed, etc.) This is the only one working as promised at the time of writing of this review. I set up a one way sync profile from my Windows 10 PC music folder to LG V20 (Android 7) SD card music folder. Downloads, local delete, local update operations seems OK. Synchronization is fast as it can be. So I'm happy with that app. Wishes for future versions: - If file size is not changed for a changed file, it cannot be synchronized. I tested this and I can confirm. File size and file date checks should be optional, so users can choose one or both to have better results. - I couldn't find any option to rename current sync profile after created it for the first time. If this isn't my mistake, addition of this option would be great.
Runs pretty slow. I ran speedtest while I had a file transfer in progress. Speedtest reported 90+ Mbps, file transfer with AndSMB hovers around 105 KB/s. I would have drooled in the 80s.
Great app Great app. Let's me transfer and manage files on my server. It may be an Android wifi sleep issue but transfers that take more than 30 minutes fail.
Simple yet effective I use this to connect to my home FreeNAS setup and it works perfectly with no annoying bells and whistles, great app!
Excellent work Im hard to please and rarely give 5*'s but this app earns it np. I bet the initial connect sure confuses the non technically minded folks and even i had a bit of trouble getting my external sdcard setup as dl directory but i always expec t that since Android 5.0 and otherwise impeccable work, folks, polite ads ya but i dont mind good devs making a buck all the features i need and afaik no file size limitations for me this apps a keeper, even converting to system app asap
Not fit for purpose Background transfer fails after a few minutes of being in the background. Not suitable for copying many files at once or you will need to keep the app open and screen on.
Great! Took 5 min total to DL, install, test upload/download a few files using Android to/from OpenELEC/Kodi server. Hope to use w both Ubuntu & Win10 servers. No need 4 bloated file managers.
The app "works" for most files like word files and movie but doesn't work with music files, the app will start to stream the song and disconnect as soon as it Cached the song and then the song fails to play. It might just be the NAS software I'm using (Openmediavault) however I highly believe it's the fault of the app.
Could not connect to Windows 7 file server over SMB. Could connect to Windows 10, but crashed twice when browsing and copying files.
About all it can do is ask me to pay for a more expensive version. Could not even access files
