Zoom feature would be good so the user could be more accurate. I don't see why this would be hard since Joseki is all local moves. 90% of the time on this app is spent on the top right corner. Otherwise great app for studying.absolutly no lag between placing moves. Having Kogo's Joseki dictionary on my Android means I can study Go anywhere. A whole world of well thought out information in my left hand and my morning White Mocha Latte in the other.
Wonderful This app does exactly what it claims. Excellent interface to access kogos encyclopedia. Loads quickly and as of yet has not crashed or had persistant gliches to my knowledge. Prior to finding this app accessing kogos through my phones browser was laborious and not worth the effort. Now i have the large database of kogos with me wherever i go. Also no ads or paid content. I couldn't ask for more.
Fat fingers App is great. No unneeded permissions. No ads. Does as it says and simply. No bugs detected thus far. My only trouble is fat fingers on tiny pixels. Go board is many positions, so not sure of a built in solution. Maybe a hover zoom would work. I don't like having to use a stylus.
One minor issue. RESOLVED! It's nice to have rotate and transpose features. But the analysis descriptions don't change accordingly. For example, when it says 'a' if there is black support at top but it should be at right. I noticed that swapping color changes descriptions as well. It's a shame that the similar adjustment does not apply in rotating and transposing. Nevertheless, it's still worth 5 stars.
Fantastic I'm not sure how up to date the dictionary is with modern joseki, but as a novice, it is valuable to me. The interface is great. It doesn't hold your hand, which will turn off some users. Perhaps there would be some way to guide users towards the most common joseki to learn first? I could envision a mode that reduces the number of choices so that these easy joseki could be focused on first....
Great App Very useful resource for joseki and variations. Could use an instructions intro like your other app since the drag and tether feature it is implemented but not obvious. Once I learned how to use this I spent a lot less time misclicking!
Crash fix - thanks for sending crash report!
