My husband and I wanted a way to message on the plane because we end up getting split up with our 3 kids between the two of us. Bridgefy was recommended with mixed reviews on the Google appstore, but with it being free, I thought why not try? Our communication was delayed by about 5 minutes while still on the ground, but once we got up in the air, the communication via Bluetooth worked almost instantly. It was nice to just keep in touch while flying or delayed. I recommend it!

Doesnt Work Reliably...Sadly. I was excited about this app because firechat doesnt work reliably either. I was happy to see that they got rid of the requirement to verify. But I cant get it to work reliably with two phones (both LG G6) with airplane mode on, no wifi and bluetooth and location on. And i found that it never worked reliably but i thought i was making progress when i figured out that you need to close and reopen the app once all the necessary settings were on (BT & Location). :(

the idea is good. the execution is not. it only briefly sees my other test device, then says there are no devices nearby. I was able to send messages. But I had to force close. after. each. message. Otherwise it wouldn't send or receive. Could you imagine having to force close every 5 minutes just to see if you had incoming messages?
