The app does make keeping track of chores and allowances very easy and is easy to use, and the kids love having their own card. However the month free trial is actually 5 days, and after the first load even though it has an option to load 5 10 15 or $20 you cannot load less than $20. I wasn't very happy with the surprise ending of the free trial and I'm also confused why it gives me an option to load lower amounts when you're not allowed to.

Thank you for sharing this with us, Jacquie. When you sign up for Greenlight, you can try any of our plans risk-free for one month and load as little as $1 if you link a bank account. We are always working to improve our Greenlight experience and will pass your feedback along to the team. A Greenlight team member will be in touch with you shortly.

There's no option to make jobs reoccurring. I'm not sure what the benefit is with the chores - there doesn't seem to be any stats available about how much they complete them or what time. We've tried to upload a simple picture of a banana (my kid's favorite fruit) twice and it keeps getting rejected. There's no stickers or anything. The card fee is a bit high if it's not going to work. The monthly fee seems a bit much for such a simple service which I don't think I'm going to keep.

edit* after many failed attempts to getting my sons part of the account activated, I finally got it to work. it was not user friendly, no where did it say that I needed to be the one to create his username and even after that it still didnt work and would freeze up so I then changed my password and it finally let him through. I may update the stars if there is no further problems.
