We're proud to announce the release of our new SDR application called Spectrum SDR - you might want to give it a try some time.

This application is about having a bit of fun with those amazing little RTL-SDR dongles, whilst listening to your favourite FM radio stations in glorious retro mono. It's nice and easy to use so why not give it a try?

There are two ways to use the application. The first is to use an RTL-SDR dongle and an SDR driver, available from Google Play. Selecting the Driver option in the application menu will open the driver page on Google Play. The second way is to connect to an instance of rtl_tcp running on a remote computer, most likely over WiFi. You will need a good network connection for this to work reliably so use of the driver is probably the preferred way to use the application in most cases.

Great app to listen to my local FM stations. The app works very well in the background and even when the screen is off. It would be nice to be able to adjust the tuner gain to get the best out of these little SDR sticks. The developer is very responsive and this might already be on his to-do list :)

The app does it says, and does so very well. The interface is minimalistic and I liked it a lot. Ads can a pain point but I understand that the makers need to earn revenue and that is how they manage to keep this app free.

Tested with some available sdr remote addresses.... No audio, nothing. And that play button that says "already started" .... Change at least the icon when connected. And there's no way to know if the App is really connected
