Even when you are staring at the app I'm your hand, there is no way to get the app to continuously vibrate and drain your battery. The worst feeling is calling a Lyft with 20% battery. The arrival notification is good for 15% as it vibrates "2 minutes" away. This doesn't account for traffic, so that 2 minutes of vibration ends up being 10 minutes. It's stupid.

An app error led to an extra fee. Used often in the past without problems. Yesterday I tried to schedule a ride. Twice I got an error message after pressing the confirmation button, so switched to Uber. A half hour later I got a notification of a Lyft driver cancellation fee. I'm not going to dispute it because it goes to the driver and he lost a fare through no fault of his own. But the app should not be able to post an error message and yet nevertheless tell the driver to proceed.

compared to other rideshare apps, lyft sucks. i pay extra to get picked up within 2 minutes or so, and half the time when it matches me with a driver, it takes them over 5 minutes to leave their starting point. multiple times have i been stranded out in the rain for over 10 minutes waiting for my driver to pick me up. if i try to cancel the ride early, it will charge me an outlandish amount of money for it, even when my driver hasn't moved. if you have the money, use a different app. 🫤
