In our busy lives, it’s important to pause, and reflect. To take a breath and remember that in the big scheme of things, whatever situation we’re in, will pass. The constant in life is Allah’s blessings on us all. Taking a few minutes now and then to reflect on His words resets our thinking and reminds us of our roles in life.

I built Quranic Reflections to help me with this philosophy; an app to help us remember this and connect with the Quran. Quranic Reminders displays Ayahs on your screen in your preferred timing durations ranging from a minute to a whole day when another Ayah is displayed for you to read, pause and reflect on it too. Click on any Ayah to pop up its Tafseer.

The app has other valuable features that allow you to gain more value from the experience: display the preceding and following Ayahs so you can gain better insight on the feature Ayahs; display the Ayahs in a serial fashion so you can read a whole Surah or indeed the full Quran if you wish, or select to display random Ayahs from all the Surahs of the Quran. You can navigate forward and back, change the display font, and even activate the audio feature to hear the displayed Ayah in Tarteel by 10 of the top reciters in the world.

The app will run on Android 6.0+ devices. In other words, it’ll work on on devices from 2015 onwards, of which, you probably have a few lying around your house or office and it would be great to put them to use for this worthy endeavour.
