Excellent tool This app is provides excellent tool for training the main lifts. I have made significant gains in all three lifts following one of the program templates. It is straightforward, well organized and simple to follow. It will work well for either a novice or an intermediate strength athlete. It does not replace a coach, but it does make planning for each training day very simple. If you want to get stronger, this app has some powerful tools to help you.
Good... but could improve. The timer resets or the whole workout resets when you leave the app to check something else. Good morning % are ridiculous & you can't edit the weight used, if you put them down as notes, you can't scroll down to see the notes from previous workouts. When you test 105% for new maxes it doens't automatically put them in and you can't adjust for missed attempts. Apart from these few bugs the app is good with exercise videos & many programs to choose from based on your level. Overall good but could be better.
Great value Best app so far that I've come across for powerlifting. No issues at all so far (Nexus 5). It's still room for improvement but definitely worth the money as is. Implementing save to profile on cloud would be great, especially if linked to profile that can be used on several platforms (iPhone, Android, Windows). Also, adjusting the weight, set, reps and name on none core exercises would be great.
Extremely unintuitive Everything is colorcoded with no clear meaning, rest timer runs during the exercise, multitasking often resets workout, no clear starting point in app, no direction to how it should be used or adapted. Half-finished features everywhere. Downright dangerous recommendations sometimes (Good Mornings with 75% of my deadlift max? You wanna cripple me?) when they probably shouldn't be there at all. TL;DR: DO NOT BUY, NOT WORTH THE MONEY.
Good programs but bad app. App is bug filled, feels like some features hardly work. I constantly lose my workout on Android when I swap tabs. Timer is useless, calendar went missing, hard time switching phases.. etc. Great programs to use but the app is not on par.
Good programs app is buggy and not complete When you edit a program it doesn't put the amount of weight to use, just the percentage. Doesn't make it clear how to check the previous sessions and the rest timer is not worth taking note of as it runs during your set. Boris' work is fantastic I think the android app needs some more time
