About this app

MEGA provides user-controlled encrypted cloud storage that’s accessed with web browsers and dedicated apps for mobile devices. Unlike other cloud storage providers, your data is encrypted and decrypted by your client devices only and never by us.

Upload files from your smartphone or tablet, then search, download, stream, view, share, rename or delete them from any device, anywhere. Share folders with your contacts and see their updates in real time.

MEGA’s strong and secure end-to-end encryption means we cannot access or reset your password. You MUST remember the password and make sure to back up your account Recovery Key. Losing your password and the account Recovery Key will result in lost access to your files.

Use the included MEGA Secure Chat for end-to-end-encrypted communications, including video and audio calls, with total privacy. Chat history synchronises automatically across multiple devices and you can also easily add files to, and from the MEGA Cloud drive.

Subscriptions renew automatically for successive periods of the same duration at the same price as the initial period chosen. To manage your subscriptions, simply tap on the Play Store icon on your device, sign in with your Google ID (if you haven’t already done so), then tap on the MEGA app.

MEGA, as a service, is pretty decent, but this app is one of the worst I've encountered. Updates routinely break core features, so it's clear that no testing is performed. File transfers inexplicably remain at 0% despite a strong wifi connection and everything else working just fine. What a shame. EDIT: With the latest update, the app frequently opens and sits on a blank white screen. Same thing happens when previewing files. Unreal.

It has become a completely worthless app. Downloads used to resume when I would leave the app and come back. But now, it just restarts the download. And while its downloading something, it skips buffers many times resulting in the use of more Internet than required. The app is also full of bugs. It is advised to the developers to pay attention to miniscule details and functions to make it run properly.

Breaks worse with every update. I could save to SD Card until a few days ago when it updated. Now it refuses to do so and downloads to main storage no matter how many times you set it. Also, no, Android itself hasn't been updated. I'm still on a version that can save to SD. The app simply refuses all the sudden.
