More accent choices? This is the only metronome app that i have found so far which allows customisation of rhythms! I see there's an empty space below the 2 accent options (16th n triplets). Hope you guys can add sextuplet accents too please!
Excellent enough to keep. Yeah, it's true -- when I started loading my tablet and smartphone with music apps, (over a year ago), I went through the process of deleting the useless and infuriating ones. Of all the metronome apps, this is the last app standing! The bells & whistles are just fine, but the best thing is: it keeps perfect time!...for long periods of time! Giv' da drumma sum!
Audio lag? I don't know, it may be my phone. But I notice the visual time indicator gets ahead of the audio. I want to like this app, the features are way beyond anything I've used on android. UPDATE: I installed this on a freshly restored g4 on 4.4.2, still lags. My rating is now 1 star because a metronome has to be accurate to be worth anything. I still think this app looks like the best one, but it's unusable as an accurate timekeeper.
Definitely a 5-Star App! 1) No metronome that I've found so far is as loud as I wish it was. This one, is the loudest I have come across. 2) The various "tick" setups are awesome. That is quite the capability, in and of itself. Thanks to the developer for taking the time to add this functionality, and for, point number 3) 3) The ability to have the metronome speed up in user-preset number of bars is incredibly awesome. ---> Why 5 stars, when I submit that I wish it was louder? First, its an all-around excellent app. It is loud enough. When I plug my little (cheap) external PC speakers, I have the **GOOD** problem of having to turn the volume down. (The loudness factor is only an issue when I try to play along with the internal speakers of my tablet. Like, when I'm early for rehearsal and use the time for practice, thats when I wish it was louder) ---> Great job, to the developer and thank you for this fine metronome! --->Also, I'm looking forward to when this can be used in LANDSCAPE. That will make it 5.5 Stars ! :)
Really fully-featured for an ad-free app BUT Love it - really amazing considering being free AND ad-free (you don't need the internet permissions). However, for me I found the scroll function for setting tempo inaccurate and difficult to use - it's pretty but there are better ways. I find it quite frustrating that when I finally have it set right then the pop-up turns up which you have to OK. The whole process is slow. Also, there is a noticeable delay when pressing start before it actually starts. Normally I suppose that is OK but often, when finding the tempo of a piece I am listening to, once I reckon I have the tempo right I then like to start up the metronome in time with the music to see if it really is right - but trying to line up the click start with the music being played is virtually impossible. You really need to figure out how to make the sound start instantly when the button is hit.
Not pretty, but one of the best metronome apps out there. Good selection of sounds. Keeps perfect time with no irregularities, as a metronome should. Nicely designed, functional interface that is rather easy to use; no bullshit included. The ability to subdivide beats any way you want and have a different sound for each beat is a good thing as well. This metronome includes many features, yet the interface somehow manages to stay uncluttered and easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone in need of a metronome app; there are very few that can compare to this.
