Sadly non-functional. I wish it was, because this is one of the few pod players without an extortionate subscription fee, but it randomly refuses to function, glitches out during play, and is not integrated with Android media so you can't use media buttons in your car or on your headphones. I really tried to stick it out, but it just doesn't work.

They must have had a problem on the back-end because there hasn't been an app update, but they recently fixed the search_for_new_podcast problem they'd been having for almost a year. Favorite app. Works best with my car. Love the UI layout. Feature rich. And it is pay-once to unlock everything and remove ads. In all my searching while this app was having problems, I found nothing I liked half as much. It may have taken months, but thank you BeyondPod team, for fixing this.

I used BeyondPod for a long time. It was so useful for making a playlist with ease. In 2019 it started to randomly pause my podcasts while I listened. That became more frequent over time. I finally gave up in 2022 when it stopped allowing me to add new podcasts to my feed, and I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to fix it. Ended up just not being able to add podcasts at all anymore and had to abandon for a working app. Still works fine for my spouse on his sumsung, though.
