Recent problem with saving to external SD Recently doesn't write to external SD, and problem come back after I fix it. The error says it's due to kitkat OS, but my xperia Z2 is on lollipop 5.1. So I switch to Podcast Addict and everything works well now. Too bad, I used beyondpod since windows mobile, before android exist lol!
I HATE the new interface!!!! 11/6/14 This interface make NO sense. WORST update ever. I can't figure out anything. PLEASE REVERT OR I'M DELETING THIS BY THE END OF THE WEEK! Its possible that the developers had tablets in mind, but for smaller Android phones this interface takes up too much real estate. Bloated and cumbersome. I gave the 3.x version 4 or 5 stars, this one is a zero! UPDATED 8/28/15 : they were right, I got used to the new interface. It's bearable, and still a little cumbersome. Sometimes the swipes take two or three tries to work. It's still the only decent podcast manager around.
I used to love you beyond... I absolutely loved this app before the redesign. Now I HATE IT! Beyond pod what have you done!? The UI is TERRIBLE, settings and options are hidden all over the place. And very simple podcast app features are hidden or just straight up not there! I regret paying for this app, I have seen on the beyond pod website you can get the old interface back but you have to jump through a bunch of hoops. PLEASE BEYOND POD ADD A OPTION IN THE MENU TO SWITCH TO THE OLD UI!!!
Obviously powerful, but cluttered This has been my go to podcast ap for a while, but it's a pain to use and navigate sometimes. I'm a power user, so at first I loved the extreme depth of options. However the inclusion of "global" options AND individual podcast options is dizzying. Maybe I simply need to find something more simple for my basic needs.
Terrific app. It has so many great features. Automatically downloads podcasts. Let's you playback up to 3X speed, which is nice to get through commercials quickly with. It never crashes like that POS PodcastOne app.
Losing functionality Currently using LG G3. Had this PAID version for years. I've overlooked auto backup/log in even though I've lost many episodes from phone upgrades throughout the years. Now, however, only about 2% of my feeds can be updated and downloading episodes is sporadic at best. I downloaded another pod cast fetcher to check, and episodes I can't get through Beyond Pod are easily retrieved with the other. How about ditching all the "extra" bells and whistles and concentrating on stabile functionality?
* Better support for some premium (paid) feeds.
* A few small changes for Android Auto to simplify media navigation
* Bug fixes
