Good upgrade from Google Listen Overall I was fairly happy with Google Listen, but it had numerous bugs and was no longer being updated so I was looking for an alternative. I tried a few others and hated them. This app works very differently from Listen but is overall better for achieving what I'm looking for, which is listening to every episode of numerous podcasts. After a bit of setup this whole process is now completely automatic and I no longer need to do any manual queue management. Best podcasting app for sure.
Reliable and gives you full control This app is really never in the way of what you want to do, listen to podcasts. It is easy to use and it just dawned on me that I have used it for over a year and I have never been frustrated or annoyed with this app. I have actually never wished for anything more than this in a podcast listening and downloading app. Easy control of the playlist. Good overview of the episodes that are downloaded. Very nice control and automation for how many episodes of each podcast to keep and when to delete old ones.
Possibly My Most-Used App I love this app. I shopped around for podcatchers, and tried a handful, but this was the one I settled on, and have been using it happily now for the last couple of years. I won't claim to be a power user, I don't use a whole lot of features, but it does what I want it to, and it does it well. My only complaint (and this may be more with Android) is that, after the latest KitKat update, I can't store old podcasts on my SD card, they can only be played on my (much smaller) internal storage. But I've never had any trouble finding new podcasts, building playlists, finding or deleting episodes; I love this podcast player and use it throughout the day.
Death by update Beyondpod was a perfect little app to manage and listen to my podcast subscriptions. The user interface was easy and comprehensible. I was very happy to purchase the premium key, because i liked the app. After the recent update the app I liked and purchased was gone. All that was left was a completely different app with bad UI design that is too much centered around the features probably no one ever uses. Too bad!
The best podcast manager I've found, full of useful features and easy to use. Definitely worth buying, once you do you won't use another. I have one minor complaint, the lack of an equaliser means poorly recorded podcasts (with too much treble for example) can't be filtered to make them more listenable. Though this isn't a common feature among podcast clients so I won't deny them the 5th star
My first paid app - well worth it! I never thought I'd pay for an app. After using this for a week, I see it's worth the money. Sure, there are a couple free podcast apps out there but they all require manual work to download and organize episodes in the order I want to play them. I was able to configure BeyondPod to just do that for me. The widget is great and it just fits my life perfectly. Well worth the money.
A small change to make the key visible to more devices (including Google TV boxes) on Android Market. If you already have the key the upgrade is optional.
