Review from Jeremiah Marsh
Great Great concept. Real life saver.
April 22, 2013Thanks for the feedback Jeremiah. Since we've moved from Google's C2DM to it's new GCM messaging, notification performance has been significantly improved. Please try the latest PulsePoint 1.0.7 version. We think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
The app is great, as it lets me keep up with whether or not the engine or truck from my company went out on a call. I haven't used it yet for CPR/AED as it is advertised. One awesome aspect is that my phone will go off about 2-3 seconds before the station alert for a box call. Love that aspect. I've been on my way to my gear before the station call came in because of this app. My only suggestion for improvement would be to make a desktop version.
Fantastic app, love being able to see what's going on in the area. Only thing Is, with my city (Kingston, Ontario) the app shows the call/emergency, but it doesn't show what units are dispatched or their status (acknowledged, en route, etc) it only shows what units were dispatched after the call is over. Sure you start to learn what units are being dispatched by where it is o the map but it would be nice for the feature to work properly here. It works fine for other cities just not Kingston.
While I myself am not a first responder or medical professional of any kind I appreciate the fact that this app exists and that my area in Las Vegas happens to be covered. At some point I do hope they will add the audio feed which would come in handy at times. Thank you to the Developers for creating this tool.
Great app and easy to use! It notifies you of incidents and AEDs in your area (that are registered through this app) should you choose to respond to help save a life. It also provides directions via Google maps/GPS to get to the location of the incident(s).
It's a good app. The only thing is, it's hard to read. The print is small; there should be a setting to adjust the font size. It also doesn't give much detail about the calls. It would be nice to know what type of medical emergency it is (i.e. chest pain, etc).
I live in a rural area, so having knowledge of even the smallest issue, can save a life. Small fires, become big. Car accidents can cause residual backlash... I appreciate this APP greatly!
Version 2.0.9, build 134. Requires Android 4.1 (Jellybean) or higher.
