refuses to keep dictionaries on external sdcard Developers never answered multiple support email requests in the year I tried. I have LIMITED space on my device internal storage. goldendict has an option to specify "additional dictionaries directory" I put the dictionaries on the external sdcard and specify the directory in the preferences. goldendict still copies them to internal memory on scan/index, even with "move to sd card" activated.
Doesn't work on nexus 4 After install doesn't start. Shows some cryptic message about copying dictionary to SD card to GoldenDict folder. First of all nexus 4 doesn't have an external SD card. Secondly how should I know where is this folder? Is it too much trouble for developer to provide an exact path or even more professional approach to open a dialog that allow to configure that folder. I really regret that I have bought that application. Don't waste your money!
excellent dictionary! I use goldendict in my laptop, PC, and phone. It supports so many kinds of dictionaries. I like it very much!
Perfect to search multiple dictionaries A problem arising when using the app from a book reader on a Chinese text is that the app won't return anything if the selection includes many characters. It would be better if the app returned results for the longest word that can be made out of the first characters in the selection.
pop up keyboard automatically I just want to type as soon as I open GoldenDict. Do you think material design?..
Got a new license key for the second device within few hours after request. App works amazingly fast with 46 installed dictionaries.
