Doesn't work anymore I moved all my files to a new phone, which is S7 Edge. All my dictionaries are in /storage/emulated/0/GoldenDict/ nested directories. When starting the app, it says: add dictionaries to GoldenDict directory, then the app quits. It worked fine with the same location of dict files on my previous phone. The app should've asked the location of dict directory, not just quit.
I've been using Goldendict for a long time, which could be traced back into my college years. It's simple, fast and bug-free. I thank all those years that Goldendict bring to me so I can learn a language so conveniently. In fact, I don't necessarily need the 5+ dictionaries feature that Pro version offers, I brought the Pro version to thank your hard and execllent work, and I do hope the app could continue to be maintained, and more features can be added into it. Thank you.
It's good! Please add a possibility to set default order for dictionaries. Right now it only orders by dictionary records amount (which is nothing in common with dictionary quality). I would like to be able to set how to order (by full path name, by file name, by title etc). So, this way I could set to order them by file name or path and rename my folders and dictionaries and do not reorder them each time I installed an app or my order settings were lost for some other reason. Other than that, you've made a great app! Worse every penny! Thanks for it. ps: 5 stars from me as soon as that option will be added, promise! ;)
Easily crashes This app is the ultimate dream for every polyglot!! I'm tempted to give it 6 starts. The only shortcoming I can find is: there's no tables of declension or conjugation... [2016/04/20] In the past 6 months it started to CRASH ALL THE TIME!! Conflict with Android 5 & 6? Please fix it!!
Not a good job anymore! Used to be a good app. Now it is not free anymore, but that is OK, I would not mind paying for a good product. But why would a dictionary need a permission to get my phone call info?! Is this some kind of a spying spiel? Maybe the developers should rethink their approach.
Doesn't work on nexus 4 After install doesn't start. Shows some cryptic message about copying dictionary to SD card to GoldenDict folder. First of all nexus 4 doesn't have an external SD card. Secondly how should I know where is this folder? Is it too much trouble for developer to provide an exact path or even more professional approach to open a dialog that allow to configure that folder. I really regret that I have bought that application. Don't waste your money!
