Ratings and reviews

Simple use and layout, and the ad placements are clear in saying they are ads (words in a yellow box in the top corner saying, "AD") and are not intrusive, unlike many other weather apps I've switched between on different phones over many years. Also, as long as you provide it permission and have location on, it auto-detects where you are and tells you the weather of the area. Basically, it provides everything I need from a weather app.

Edit: need Lawnchair Launcher or similar to resize to 1x1. The pricing is very steep. weawow is a great free alternative. however, still 5 stars because I think the widgets are much better and the app can show more without scrolling. I haven't seen any other app with a 1x1 or 2x1 widget that shows current, low, and high weather. if you have money and/or Google play money burning a hole in your pocket, I would pick this up.

Eventually they'll probably sell out, but until that happens, this is my favorite weather app. Just a heads up though, Google's January 2026 update for my Pixel came with more half-baked "AI" garbage that breaks the status bar icon yet again (3rd time Google's updates have broken it). Go into the notification settings and turn off the new notification category sorting junk if you want the status bar icon back
