Review from Shaheed Hameed
Was great when i started using it frim 2015 atill stays perfect after a major android version updates I'm on 7.1.1 and still perfect and i got some bad news like Dolphin is using the user data leaks to other sites whatsoever i don't believe since no major reports was seen... Plz confirm these by a reply so that u'll stay strong always
Good app but needs improvement like full size image option in google image searching And extra options while downloading (you can check other browser options also) it will help you. Sorry to say but browser is little bit lazy specially in forwarding and backwarding pages. Anyway other features are great.
Very fast. But 1)why do I have to charge a page again after closing and re-opening the app, while I already did once? It's really annoying, especially when you cannot get an internet connection 2) update Sept 2017: crashes EVERY TIME I click on a link. I have to explicitly "open in the background" for the browser to work properly. That's very annoying
I truly believe this is the best Android browser. It's light, intuitive, customizable, and then some. The only problem I'm having is sometimes the app just stops responding, and I cannot exit out of it, or toggle my recent apps to get out of it, which is quite frustrating. Maybe it's only on the Galaxy s8, but either way I'm hoping for a fix soon.
Since getting the S8 back in spring I have been trying out new browsers that I am not familiar with. Dolphin, from word of mouth and my initial light use seemed to be the one. I like the layout and lots of options, all of the plug-ins are nice, yet I can't enjoy this browser because of constant crashes. I am literally on my phone browser in some capacity 5 to 6 hrs a day, I absolutely do not have time for the losses. That being said, I'm prepared to leave Chrome and Google for good, but I need reliability. I started the process of getting away from Google after the first day with the app, by day 2 I was still sitting bags packed.
Tested against qualys ssllabs browser auditing on Aug, 28 2017: Browser has SSLv3 enabled (deprecated, vulnerable for the "POODLE" Vector - seemingly there is a very old OpenSSL package in Place). It can use TLS1.2 , but still offers various Suites w RC4, does not provide OCSP stapling. RC4_MD5 and 3DES are broken/deprecated Ciphers. Therefor vulnerable towards MITM Attacks. Updated Root Authoritiy Certs are missing.
Keeps crashing 100% of the times on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (GT P3100). But runs on Android 5 anf higher, on my Asus Ze551ml. But a decent app should have multiple hardware-specific versions. I am user of 5 devices, and I always look for universal compatibility.
