INNOVATIVE LEARNING AND UNDERSTANDING
The nature park Teutoburger Wald / Eggegebirge is a region full of natural and cultural treasures. With the Themen.Wege.App you can explore these treasures on different routes.
So you can learn something about the "variety on the mountain edge" in Schlangen, explore the bog in Bad Meinberg and learn about its use as a remedy. In Oerlinghausen you dive into the archaeological history of Tönsberg and its geological features. The geology, more precisely Karst, is also on the Paderborn plateau and in the Pader spring area. In Lügde it gets more mystical and you can go on a path full of legends. In Blomberg, on the other hand, the focus is on medicinal and aromatic plants, and in Bellersen it is all about the peculiarities of today's cultural landscape.
SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION
The Themen.Wege.App is a further development of the "GPS-ErlebnisRegion", awarded by the UNESCO as an official project of the UN Decade "Education for Sustainable Development 2005-2014" and by the state of NRW with the "Corss-Media-Award" has been. The new app replaces the individual applications of the experience paths and bundles them in a single application. This makes it easier to specifically access topics and support the current generations of mobile devices.
The basic concept has not changed. Furthermore, especially children and adolescents should be inspired by technology for nature. The learning experience is thus significantly strengthened and the understanding of nature increased in a fun and educational way. In addition, complex installations in the landscape and problems with vandalism on the digital adventure trails are a thing of the past.
Themen.Wege.App is a joint project of the Teutoburg Forest / Eggegebirge Nature Park and the INTEWO | World Habitat Society.
