About this app

Geology Toolkit is an ONE-TIME PURCHASE

Geology Toolkit is a thoroughly practical, lively, and comprehensive application that allows geologists and hobbyists or even kids to examine and explore minerals and rock features under the petrographic microscope or as hand-specimen.

Whether you are preparing for an essay, studying for an exam, or simply want to enrich your hobby or expand your knowledge, Geology Toolkit is your essential guide.

This app is an identification guide to many types of rocks, minerals, and even fossils. Geology Toolkit will guide you on recognizing some of the rocks and minerals you will find.

Geology Toolkit makes Mineralogy and Petrology be easier to examine a thin section and to understand the characteristic properties of each mineral/rock without a petrographic microscope, which is known to be very expensive. The application is mainly addressed to geoscience students/geologists as a guide in individual or supervised laboratory work. A great thing about Geology Toolkit is that it works offline.

The app is Made by a Geologist for Geologists.

I noticed the further you zoom in the data changes significantly. I am also wondering if this was a one time purchase or will I continued to be billed? I can't find any info on that. Thanks, Too many crashes. I un-installed the app and re-installed, works alot better now. I really like this app, very informative. Would be super cool to have a microscope & UV light opinion. Yes, about the zooming in/out. It says something different if you make the square smaller. Thank you for the app!

[Read me] This is a ONE-TIME PURCHASE. Because I invest a lot of time and a lot of features are coming each month, I give a donation opportunity (within the app) to the users. Please, tell me more about the zoom and changes at andrei_ionut1987@yahoo.com. I will try to help you. Also, please edit your 2-star review if you are happy with my answer.

Great app idea! Needs a lot of work though. The prediction part is 90% of the time. Anything with white on it is a opal. The a pic with the flash and its 1 thing. Take a pic of the same specimin without flash and it's something else. Other parts of the app are cool and educational. However this app is not worth the 10 bucks I paid for it. It really should be free.b

The prediction is not the main feature of the app. Also, the identification by an image is not recomended at all, especially for minerals and rocks. I hope that you will reconsider the rating in the near future. Indeed, in any app you can take a picture of the wall and the app identify as many minerals, this doesn't means that it's sucks, right?

This app is absolutely astounding!! Unbelievable how many functions it has, it took my breath away, 3D models especially! Only thing i miss is that it lacks hydrogeology and engineering geology components/functions (but if i am right, this app is not focused on these fields of geology), sometimes not sharp/clear enough text in images or diagrams and i was a little disappointed that on tablet i cannot use many functions (Copy failed) and i think this app would be even more wonderful on tablet :)
