MyCarAcc App (acceleration from 0-60 mph, 0-100km/h) is the measurements and statistics app for Android. If you have a car or are going to buy one, or are simply passionate about cars, our project is made for you. Want to accurately measure how fast your car accelerates to 60 mph and find out not just a figure specified by the manufacturer under perfect conditions, but a real estimate: for your exact car, in its current state? Our project will help you to measure the acceleration from 0-60 mph, 0-100 kmh.
Why our application? The secret of our method is that the App uses two types of sensors: GPS that provides accurate information, but with arbitrary delay, and the device’s accelerometer that instantly receives data, but requires amendment. Having combined these two sensors by using a specially developed algorithm, we get to measure the acceleration time of a car from 0-60 mph with high accuracy. MyCarAcc is the only application that uses this method. All other similar programs use either GPS or accelerometer.

www.mycaracc.com is a unique feature of our project. You can upload your measurement data from the Android application on our site! Thus, you will be able to analyze graphics and statistics. Other users will be able to see your results. You will also get to know acceleration time of other users’ cars with the same configuration. There is manufacturers’ data for many models on this site.
The project has just set up, and there are not that many measurements yet. If you can help us fill up the database with measurements, the users will have an opportunity to examine the real statistics of different car models.
