If you´re a foreigner about to drive in Spain, you need this app!
The N332 Road Safety Project is a collaboration between road safety professionals, including journalists, driving instructors, lawyers etc, who work together with serving traffic officers from the Guardia Civil to ensure that information relating to driving in Spain is brought to those who may not understand the sometimes subtle differences in the laws in Spain.
The N332 website was set up to provide information relating to driving in Spain, and provide news about traffic, driving and motoring matters, specifically of interest to foreigners who are driving in a different country.
We use a variety of sources for the information, primarily the Spanish laws relating to driving, cars and motoring, and the current information provided by the DGT traffic department who are responsible for the road network. In addition, we source news articles which we think may be of interest, and have a small team of journalists, solicitors, translators and specialists, including driving instructors, who work on ensuring that the information is correct and accurate.
Originally started as a companion to provide a catalogue of articles published in collaboration with a group of Guardia Civil traffic police officers who publish articles on their Facebook page to provide information on Spanish laws and driving for the many foreigners who live, work, visit and holiday in the area they police, and the whole of Spain, the site immediately became a resource that could offer so much more. Both teams still work closely together to ensure that the information provided is correct, and inline with current and futures changes to the law.
Oh and in case you´re wondering, N332 is named after one of the main roads in Spain. It runs along the East Coast, through the Costa Blanca, and takes in places such as Benidorm, Alicante, Santa Pola, Torrevieja, Orihuela and Cartagena, amongst many other places. Maybe not as famous as Route 66, we pay homage to the roads of Spain through the name N332.
