Incredible: if you want to select the recording folder you must type it manualy You can't select it. Is it running under DOS or Android? Anyhow, I typed /mnt/extSdCard and got an error. Conclussuon: it cannot save records on your SD card, in spite of what is written. The small widget only starts recording and to stop you must enter the application. I would expect: press to start press again to stop. Also the widget icon is ugly and much too big. Again, DOS style. Besides that, it works fine.
Major Problem today I recorded over an hour of speech and then noticed that the time counter was counting backwards as I recorded instead of forwards. So I stopped and listened to what I'd gotten so far and there was a clipping/echo sound throughout the latter 2/3rds of it which I cannot send to my client. Basically have to start over. Over an hour of hard work down the drain. I can't find anything helpful about this on the internet... I'm going to have to look elsewhere for a recorder I can rely on. Thanks for the years of good service though, Tape-a-talk...
The worst This app is the worst! I loved it for a couple of days, I was able to pause recordings for a few minutes then start recording again with no problem. Then out of nowhere, every time I pause and start recording again, everything I recorded before the pause is erased. I don't want to deal with creating multiple files for a single lecture, and I have lost valuable lecture recordings thanks to this app being buggy. I am tremendously frustrated and will never recommend this app for any reason to anyone.
Recordings are fine I spoke too soon about this app. I downloaded my first recording and was unable to play. After trying multiple options to upload it and failing, I was at my wits end and noticed that there was a "repair" option. Once I hit that, I left the default options and pressed repair. My recording then worked. I have since recorded about six more recordings and all were fine. I'm also able to use it to Bluetooth a speaker I have, and listen more closely. So sorry for the snap judgement.
Perfect I had brain surgery and can't remember what people say. My amazing speech therapist recommended Tape A Talk. I've been using it for a year and a half. It is flawless.
Was looking for an app that would record in the background so I can record content from other apps. It did it perfectly. Now I have enough machine guns to use for all sounds, like lock/unlock. You really made my day!
