Recommended. I am struggling with some issues. I managed to find both the Mac II ROM, I also found System 7 disk. It does boot up. However, for some reason, I cannot get colour (as shown in the photo). I think the colour extension is missing from the System 7 disk (but there is no disk space!). I did have some crash issues (which is surprising, as I have no problems with the free version). I am sure all these issues can be resolved, once I find the most compatible files. I am happy as the free version of MincMAC Run brilliantly, and wanted to pay for a version, to give thanks to the authors. Useful Tip : Also, when copying files onto a Samsung tablet, the emulated directory is not shown when you connect to the PC. You need to copy the ROM file and system disk into a temporary directory. The next step is to use the "My Files" app to copy files from your temporary directory to the 'emulated' directory.
Great app, it's worth every penny! I love color! For those people out there who don't know how to start Mini vMac II because it's on a new phone, hold on the menu button and you will be prompted to insert a disk. I had the same problem until I stumbled upon this trick.
Make this more stable. Please make this so fast. It is ok now but not stable so far.
Slow, crashes often. It is curiously slow on a Quad Core Snapdragon 800. Many things will not work, because there is not full hardware emulation of the 68020 (an ancient CPU, with no FPU and no MMU. In other words, crazy simple) sad, because projects like Basilisk can emulate a 68020 with 030 and 040 extensions.
Great Port. Thanks! Enjoy playing with this as I don't have room to set up a mac in my current house. Feature requests I would love to see one day (although I guess some things might be dependant to the original project?) 1. Better integration with bluetooth keyboards so modifier keys work. 2. More RAM! 3. Some way of loading .SITs and other files into an image without having to go back to my desktop.
Perfect Glad I could support the devs and this is a really cool emulator. Only real problem is the mouse on phones. Can you please add an option so the touchscreen acts as a touchpad for a laptop? Tap to click & when I move my finger on the screen it moves the cursor in vmac(without clicking). It would be 5* if not for the lack of mouse options.
