Create and fold your own paper plane, stamp it with your location, and βthrowβ it back into the world where it can be caught by someone on the other side of the world.
Paper Planes started as a simple thought - βWhat if you could throw a paper plane from one screen to another?β The heart of this concept is to bring people together from all over the world, using the power of the web and Android to create an instant connection.
Receives push notification detailing how far your planes have traveled and where it was last thrown. See your plane with stamps from its journey displayed as locations in a passport along with a 3D Earth revealing its flight path.
Visit paperplanes.world on your computer to throw planes into your screen.

I love paper planes and I like the game. It's kind of a fun time waster but it is kind of cool. It doesn't have the most content, so it doesn't get 5 stars. If there was a way to unlock more colors, more plane styles (more than the basic plane), more stamps, achivements, mini games, or maybe adding messages to planes would make the game more fun. I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks features like these should be added, just take it more interesting.

(One day after download: Rating lowered, uninstalled) Neat but shallow idea which needs a better hook. Finer grain (and correct!) location would be nice. The ability to add initials or a username to stamps would add more substance. A personalized mini-watermark might be considered. Using only the stamps data now present, the ability to create somewhat unique stamps may be possible. GMT definitely needs to be added along with date. Stop the silly launch/catch phone movements. Give me subtle finger gestures as not to look deranged if seen playing by strangers.

Love it, but a few suggestions I really, really, really love this concept but I have a few ideas that could make it better. 1) Allow swiping on the screen to catch and throw paper planes. Having to shake you phone makes it hard to discreetly play in public. 2) It would be cool if you added a way to view the paper planes you've caught in the past and see where they've gone. 3) Provide more details on the planes you catch. Maybe a map to show where they've been. I realize these are complex requests; but they're something new to consider.

Lovely Game I really enjoy this game and I love seeing the planes travel around the world. But I do have some ideas for improvements. It gets slightly boring after some time so maybe add some little collectibles? I also would live to see more maps, and maybe swiping the screen as an option instead of throwing your phone (for public uses) would be great.

My phone has an issue where it sometimes shuts down incorrectly and spontaneously, which deletes a lot of app data. However, apps that have log ins and accounts I'm able to restore my data and access everything I had been working towards. It would be really helpful if there could be accounts for this app so people didn't lose everything they made.

Great idea It's such a nice idea, to connect people in a different way, but it would definitely use some improvements. I could see how it could get boring after a while. Maybe including a way of collecting stamps and paper colors and designss when you recieve a plane would be a good way to keep users entertained and exited about recieving planes. Even making a map, tracking where the plane has gone would be nice. Overall, it's a great concept that could go many places if worked on.

Pretty cool so far I like it, it's different and fun to pass time but a couple suggestions, you've probably already have seen most. I like a cpl people's ideas about collecting stamps and being able to see the plane's you've caught in the past (not just the one's you made). But I think it'd be cool if we could write little notes on the paper planes, just short little blurbs. And I live in DE, closer to Philly but my stamp says Washington, D.C.? Could be my phone's location issues but idk.
Fun, but App doesnt work right It's fun to see where these planes have been, but I've had to recreate my list of planes because the first list vanished. Then, I'm getting notifications about those first planes I created, but can't see them in the app. The notifications say your plane just left this city and it traveled 5380 miles, but can't see it in the app. BOO! Not cool.
GREAT This app is super fun just to see where people are and I love it. Some suggestions would be 1. Maybe customize the paper, like have different options along with a like scrolling menus at the bottom with all the stamps and different color pads. 2. Maybe we can write messages on the planes 3. Maybe some soothing music in the background? SOMETHING TO FIX would be the sound, the sound cuts out a lot
Doesn't know where I am. The concept is nice, but being able to leave personalized messages would be nice. Definitely needs swipe controls as opposed to risking throwing my phone across a room. It would also be nice if the app would stamp my actual location. It's placed stamps for four different places so far not one of which was even on the same side of the USA as me.
Really cool but some improvements I really enjoy using the app, it's really cool that I can fly a plane and it's flying around the world waiting to be caught, but I think one thing that should change or should add is a way for you to check where your plane is at even if it hasn't been caught, 2.) Show the planes that we grabbed and stamped on and keep us posted on where it's at now. 3.) This is the biggest one for me. When we get notified about our plane being caught show us the plane because it's kinda hard to find it, like maybe highlight
There is just something so whimsical about this game. It really brings you back to your roots when things were simple but at the same time it gives life to what you used to wish paper planes would really do... FLY! I love this games entire concept. It's just like sending a letter in a bottle. The movements to send a plane out and to catch them are just such a wonderful addition as well. I honestly wish more people played this! I downloaded it on a whim without even really knowing what exactly to expect. I highly suggest you try it if you haven't already! π
Location problem I live in the capital of my country, but the location my stamps show are of a nearby town. I wish the location were more accurate. Also, if we could track down the places our caught and sent planes have been to, it'd be awesome. Like a world map, maybe? Adding little personalised notes to the planes would make it more fun.
I have a couple suggestions... This app is great, I love it and it's a beautiful idea. However, I do have a few suggestions that could improve it... 1) perhaps add a stamp collection of some sort, that would let you unlock new stamps once you've collected a set or something. πππΈ 2) I know pretty much everyone said this, but a swipe option would be a great idea for people who don't want public stares πΆ 3) perhaps add a star/heart πππππ that you can click to favourite a plane and a map to see where it has been. 4)Write a little message/word on a stamp. βπ
Very nice A nice game, nice concept, definitely room for improvement. I love the simplicity and style. However, it seems a bit too.... bare. Just a few more features would improve it a lot. So far, so good!EDIT: Hey so it turns out there IS a map! Once your plane has been caught by someone, if you tap "see your planes"> the plane that was caught> and then the little down arrow, you can see where it has been! Thanks guys!
The game is a really good idea but adding personalization to the planes would be nice, I would love to write little notes for people who receive my planes. Also, maybe possibly add like a world map under each plane since after a bit, the names of the states and countries get jumbled up. Still an awesome concept!
I love this but you should have an account, be able to make a custom stamp and have a little message like "hi" or a little memoir. The planes should also be directional so if u throw it South someone in that general direction will have a chance at catching it. The planes should also be able to steer themselves. Also maybe add a chat so you can talk with people who have stamped a plane that you caught.
Cool idea. Fun app Just wish the controls were touch screen, or had an option to change it. I just end up having to shake my phone for anything to work. **In addition to what I already wrote, this app notified me that my plane was caught multiple times. I go into the app, nothing. It says my planes have not been caught yet. It's been over a week. I think it must be bugged. Ugh :((
Love I love this app; love watching my planes fly around the world. A few suggestions: collect coins for planes you catch & make to buy new papers & stamps. Maybe a log to see the planes you've stamped? And idk if its my phone or what, but as soon as I tap my screen the planes take off. I can't do the motion controls...π’ nbd, it'd just be nice. Also, sound usually doesn't work.
good, PLEASE DEVELOPER HEAR ME App is very interesting, addicting. I see some problems which needs to be solved. 1. Need to restrict making airplanes. I would suggest adding a restriction that need to catch atleast 1 plane, so you can make 1 plane. Because there are 1,5 million planes, and it makes it even harder to catch good planes. Nobody is catching planes. 2. Add ability to change location if my location says 'planet earth'. 3. Please, let us bookmark caught planes!!! I would like to track some interesting planes... THANKS!!
It has alot of POTENTIAL ok. this is a good app but gets boring fast even though it's fascinating how a plane can fly almost literally around the world. What I suggest is that you add the option to customize the plane. Like colors, being able to write something on the plane, different plane styles, ect. I am uninstalling this and will downloadβ again once I see improvement to make the app more injoyable
Fun but... I understand that Utah may not be the center of the planet but when I send out like 5 planes in a row while watching on my computer to see it and see only large cities like NYC and LA being shown it makes me sad. Show my country bumpkin planes too!!! And your location is off. has me in Westpointe Utah, wherever that is! I live in SLC!
Nice innovative concept The idea is great but the software lacks of features. I would like to send a paper plane to one of my contacts. How about a zoom to see better the stamps? I would like to compose and save my stamps. When I put my stamp I would like to move and rotate it to not stay over others or out of paper. Looks like 50 is the limit of airplanes you can send, but there is no indication of that. Too app big for what it gives and not movable to SD card. Buggy, no exit. Get boring very fast. No updates or fixes.
Neat, but easily forgettable. My location has never been correct. It stamps a location about 600 miles away. I threw a plane and completely forgot about the app untill about 2 weeks later when it said my plane was somewhere else. Would love to see correct locations, maybe ability to insert small message or pic. Needs work, but cool idea.
I like this game, but needs a couple of things The game is great. I enjoy it a lot and it's cool to see where paper planes have been. However, i have a couple of suggestions: 1. Please add a way to swipe to send paper planes or catch them. | 2. Add a way to change what type of plane you send. It gets kind of boring to see the same paper plane over and over again.
This is a great game i agree with other users it could use some more features. I love the idea of swiping instead of shaking. It makes me look silly when i play it in public. I also agree with the thought that it would be cool to be able to see your past planes caught and see where they have gone now.
This app I OK. But I suggest the developers to add in some other things and features! 1: would be great if you add in the ability to change the stamp and add a custom stamp. 2: I suggest that the graphics be a little better but not too much. 3. Please add the ability to add custom locations! That's all. I hope you will implement those features in the next update
So Cool! This is such a cool app. You can see where everyone sends planes and how many people. I do wish my planes were seen sooner. I saw one person's plane that was three months old and only had one stamp on it. When I was little I always wanted to send paper airplanes around my state. Now I can around the World!!
Amazing To me this game is so beautiful. The thought that there are so many other people in the world looking at the same letter as you is just stunning. The only thing I have to say is that I wish we could write messages in letters and send planes to certain people
I don't live there??? I love the idea of this app, but the location is WAY off. The app says I'm in Atlanta, Georgia, and I'm absolutely nowhere near either that city OR state. It takes away from the experience, because it's sending out planes that don't reflect my actual location. And there's also no way to manually reset or recalibrate the location.
Nice idea but... This is a lovely app with a great concept behind it, kinda like sending balloons but in the modern world. My only problem with it is that I'll get notifications that my plane has been somewhere but they fail to show up in game. Kinda takes away the point.
Good idea but needs fixes! I like the idea of this game but it needs so easy fixes. I got a notification that my plane has flown ... miles to somewhere, I open the app and look at my planes it hasn't flown anywhere. When I make a plane my screen freezes when I am supposed to tap the screen and I have to reboot the app. Luckily my plane is already flying. Otherwise great game, idea and concept!
Making it better Really nice idear see people around the would, maybe we could get to choose what plane me make and we fold it, and we pick the coulded paper, make it so you have to thow the phone kinda.. rarther than tap it and we get to write what we want, but i think there could be problems we people writing what they want. But just adding more vriaty. But really nive game.
It is a interesting game. But it would be even better if we could put some short messages in the plane. It is boring to expand the planes just to see the where it has travelled so far. So I hope you will be able to add this feature in this game and then only 5 stars will not be a big deal βββππ
Great Idea except for the detailed location When in certain parts of the city, the stamps will change to the name of the Area, a name which changes every few blocks. This leaves almost nothing to the imagination for the stampers whereabouts when a quick Google search brings up the possibility of under a dozen side streets.
Excellent idea but needs work [1]Maybe the paper planes should be made of user generated content (pics, links, vids, chats, etc) and you catch and unfold planes to view the content. [2] More subtle movements such as swiping would be a nice option to have. [3] Usernames attached to a watermark would be great.
Kinda cool. I like seeing the different stamps. Loss Planes on a Reset Kinda of a fun app. Cool to see all the stamps from different locations of where the plane has traveled. Also nice to see the report of distance traveled. Problem is that upon a reset or reinstall, you loose all the planes you have sent off. This diminishes sustainability after such an incident occurs.
Nice idea, lets see if I come back again.. would be nice, if my location wouldn't state city, planet earth though. I come from a real country, although its not us, nor uk. Had to change the rating to 1 star, my planes are not caught and stamped, though I stamped so many. Today I caught 5 planes - in average they had more than 3 stamps. Uninstalled the app.
Pretty Good I like the app: the concept is interesting and it's cool seeing where my planes have landed. I just wish that it didn't give me the instructions every time I did anything. I've had this app for a while, I know how to use it. Give us the directions when we first get the app and if we ask for them again.
Such a simplistic concept that is so much fun. And in response to some reviews that I saw, Westpointe is a neighborhood in SLC, and if you don't see where your plane went after a notification, open the app, fully close it, then open the app again. Your results should now be there. AND I ALSO LOVE HAVING THE 1.4 MILLION PLANE! Edit: Lowered rating due to the app maxes out at 50 planes, and the location of that last plane is the location of the app, it doesn't change. You can make more, but it gets rid of the older ones.
