Very nice I have tuned pianos proffessionally for over 25 years. My Peterson 490ST strobe tuner conked out on me and I decided to try this one. It worked very well on all but the highest octave. I agree that a tone would be very useful. Also would like to see several stretch presets like peterson has.
Marvelous tool Terrifically useful! Also used it to check turntable speed using a test record with a 1khz tone by resetting A to 1khz. One request.. make the type at the center of the disc a bit larger- very hard to read. Thanks for a great app though!!
Perfect I play a half stack and just prop it up on top of my amp head. It works superbly. Totally accurate. I use it on auto detect and it is perfect. No brainer. The one thing you need to remember is the app does not "time out", so you need to remember to turn it off if you don't want it on. Very pleased. Get it. You will love it.
Stroboscopic I use this on my martin guitar and it can get the strings more in tune 1 by 1 than I can by ear. Well worth the convenience, it tries to be alot more accurate than my guitar can even tune. If there was more options for simpler display that is not less accurate just less lines as it tends to be glitchy the way it is, but in no way does it hinder the app at all. Imagine it would be perfect for piano or harp etc.
SHOCKED I was VERY skeptical about an app on my phone even coming close to being as accurate as the latest, greatest digital tuners for my guitars. I was SHOCKED after tuning with the strobe, then clamping on my spendy digital tuners, and my guitar was tuned PRECISELY, according to both my Sabine and Korg tuners. I could even HEAR the difference. I've been playing for 45yrs and as I said, I was shocked, but also very pleased. Great app man. Great app. I'm still shaking my head in disbelief. Thanks
Better than the expensive Peterson app. Still not as feature rich as, say, gStrings, but probably the best strobe tuner app. No tuner app can change your mic and phone's high pass filter to magically hear low frequencies, but have to rely on harmonic overtones. A strobe tuner can make it easier to compensate manually, as you see the harmonics.
