Showed hotspots in NY City, but I'm near Boston App offered a download of about 2,700 passwords (hacked?), which I accepted. Map showing hotspots was SE Manhattan and Western Brooklyn. It must have failed to get my coarse location (GPS is off). Sorry. Uninstalled.
Amazing This is app is a very clever app but once you share a password, you cannot edit it if they organisation it or the person typed it in wrong and please can you have a feature that you can report incorrect passwords. In my mind editing shared passwords is a key feature. Please can you add this feature in.
Does not connect automatically. The app gives notification of open hotspot, but I have to open the app for it to connect - it's easier to hit wifi button in the notification panel. And it consumes battery - 435 wakelocks in 12h in airplane mode. Should have an option NOT to constantly search while device is in airplane mode.
Didn't work It was suppose to have passwords so you could open hot spots. I never could get it to work for me.
It doesn't work It doesn't connect, neither notify if a open connection is in range, it just decharge batteries. To test the connections around you have to manually test.
Not Good for US or Canada This app shows very few wi-fi hotspots in Canada. Most parts of the US don't show many hotspots either. I added many hotspots, but none of the them show on the map. Contacted developer but got no response.
A new version with a completely redesigned interface. Automatic control of shared passwords and much easier connection process. Now you can find free Wi-Fi hotspots that require sign-in too.
Do you want to know if someone is connected to your wifi without permission?
