Pretty good I'd actually like to give 4.5 stars, just a few things would bring it to 5. Such as make the interface more customizable (i.e. more fonts, custom colors for nicks & text, ability to add a background image), add sound notification for channel messages & joins, add a buddy list, have the nicklist show userids & hostmasks rather than just nicks. Those are more superficial than performance issues though, the only real performance problem I've run into is the app going offline on its own: I'll have it running in the background while doing other things on the tablet or set the tablet down for awhile, then check to see if I got any messages only to find all the servers went offline for no apparent reason (not due to intermittent wifi issues). Which then clears any previous text that was up prior to the dropped connection, so if I want to go back and re-read or catch up with new messages that came in, I have to dig for the log files to find them. It doesn't kick my servers offline often but when it does it's pretty annoying. Other than that though it's an overall decent & functional app, simple & user friendly enough that I'd recommend to beginners.
Bad app. My internet connection is perfect, but this app randomly disconnects you and then won't reconnect until you turn airplane mode on and back off again to reset your connection. No copying messages (they tried but failed, "Copy Text" brings up a clumsy text editor that loads the first twenty or so lines from the channel, and not what was said recently). No color support, not even display of colors! This app is not worth the time.
My personal favourite IRC app Apart from a few minor flaws (like the channel scrolling after reconnect, app crashes if running long, and you switch back into it - damaging all logs during several last hours), the best Android IRC app I have tried. Good for everyday use once you get to know it. Auto-commands work well, but regular commands can get pretty annoying to use. Would appreciate if /cs and /ns worked. (/ns works on some occasions but it seems random) Solid 4,5/5
Good app Easy to use, easy to set up. I use it all the time on my phone and it doesn't drain battery fast. I just wonder if others have issues with the user list not updating when someone parts a channel? It's weird and a little annoying. Is there a fix on this issue?
Great app, when it feels like working. Very nice UI, fast enough, notifications on pings at least (would like the option to have any message notified). But after a few days, it just decided to crash on me repeatedly. Occasionally it will work for a bit, but not for a whole evening.
Amazing I love AndChat! I use it whenever I'm on my phone and the automatic reconnection to all my servers when I go from WiFi to Data and vice versa is quick and automatic. Thank you! I have no complaints about AndChat's current features. The only thing I'd like to see added at all would be a MatriY theme like for HexChat on my PC. But aside from that the app is golden. I have tested other apps and none perform like this. It works exceptionally well on my LG Optimus L9. P769 model. Keep up the excellent dev work!
