Does what is supposed to! It's also full of settings! Allows you to parameterize everything you might want. The only irritating thing is the channel members list being a bit narrow, making long names unreadable (5 inch screen). Overall a great irc client!
Simple yet effective IRC app It does the little things right, such as the correct use of the Android's back key, and the alert when someone mentions you by name. I haven't experienced a couple of the main crash bugs for the last few updates either, so I'm very happy with this.
Almost perfect Super fast and very stable. My only qualm is that it saves logs with no formatting, so it is a big block of words with no associated usernames. If that gets fixed, I will raise this to a 5 Star rating EDIT: Fixed. 5/5!
Very good but... ...needs a few things: 1) mIRC colours & bold/italic/underline/reverse support. 2) Scrap the edit mode for copying (it crashes AndChat when the buffer is big). Use either a long-hold to copy an entire message or tap to paste single words into the editbox. 3) Fix the bug with ZNC (ghosted nicklist when ZNC reconnects to the IRC server). Do these 3 things and I'll switch back from AndroIRC and purchase your Donate version. 4) Maybe get ahead of the game by introducing DCC Get & Chat support?
Tiny visual complaint This is the best irc client I've used on android. The only thing I would change is the background on the notification. It has the background of ics hardcoded, instead of using the system default. Makes it look out of place on jellybean.
Very simple and effective My only complaints are the cramped vertical mode UI design and the fact that you have to input commands rather than tap on icons to do things like add channels and such.
If you previously set up a server to use SASL, you will have to update the server details and add the SASL details to the dedicated authentication options screen.
