Mandatory location permission for app access is annoying. Just let us enter a ZIP or use precise location when we wish. Even Google Maps doesn't require location to be on simply to open and browse the app.
Much improved over the last 2 years, but still two big flaws: sucks up battery life with constant location requests, and discards current unused coupons when you buy a refill. I had to set up multiple IDs just so I could keep all my coupons!
Decent coupon app, their subscription concept is frustrating. My siblings and I used to each get a paper book and we'd use the coupons from all the books for where we each went... then the app came out and we could just load three set of coupons into one account that we all used on our phones. Then they changed to an annual subscription where only one set can load per account and it's almost enough hassle to go back to the books... Edit: they just lost a star because customer support chimed in with an unhelpful response describing the problem I complained about as a 'feature.'
Great coupons, and good for the community. I love having it on my phone as opposed to a book.
It's awesome and I've saved far more than I've spent on the app
If you live in Portland this app pays for itself quickly
We regularly update Chinook Book to make it even easier to use and sometimes add some magic.
