I was checking my cable bill when comcast ask me for feedback on how they are doing and then they gave me this app "xfinity connect." so I downloaded it so now when I get my email 3 different emails cause when. I read the email it didn't say which one it was now I have this app I love all 3 of my email are under where they need to be I reallylike this! Xfinity app.I love there cable internet and landline phone and now some of there mobile hotspots and email app thanks a lot xfinity comcast I am a life time member and I love it everyone should have xfinity comcast cable internet phone and mobile now..
This app would be much improved if they had the option to selectively install features. Too much overhead loading support for Comcast phone when I don't have it. I would much prefer an app that just did email. Hence the lower rating. It takes way longer to retrieve new emails than it should. Comcast online email is slow too. I'd use Gmail but don't trust Google. If I had a viable option, I wouldn't be using this phone for that matter.
When I open an email I see the spinning icon forever before the email finally opens, if it opens at all. This happens on my phone and computer, so it is not just this app. Happens on Verizon and comcasts own network, so it is not just my connection. Also, delete a bunch of emails and... surprise! They're back. Try again!
The latest "upgrade" made everything much, much slower. Headers take forever to populate, you can't open and read your messages until they do, and messages that you delete will reappear, even on Wi-Fi. There does not seem to be any new features associated with it. This was at one point a great app, no longer.
Although Comcast did quickly fix the March 2017 bug that wouldn't let you delete emails, the Oct 2017 update (or a server change?) now makes it super slow to receive email via the app. It will spin for many minutes trying to download via a strong wifi connection, regardless of the pre-download setting, even if messages have BEEN pre-downloaded as shown by the first couple lines displaying in preview (even those lines don't show up when trying to open the message). Interesting that desktop access via POP (into Eudora!) still works instantly.
While on WiFi this app takes up to 2 minutes to open an email. Even sometimes on my network I'll have to back out of the app and get back in so it can refresh. Has never worked for me. Always an issue and any update that has been performed to make it a better app has never fixed this problem.
