Why is this not compatible with Nexus 7? Used this on my phone for months -- why won't it work on my 7? I don't see why it's blacked out.
Nothing like screenshots This looks nothing like the screenshots. Can't find a way to get speed/heading on screen. Uninstalled.
Stale application... Suggestions to the author 1. Disable screen timeout ONLY when connected to power. Hate when it unknown to me discharged the battery. 2. First call goes to speaker as it should, but consecutive calls go to earpiece. 3. Disable the Back and Home buttons. The only way to properly close the app. AND to exit the car mode should be the Exit tile. When exiting via Back or Home buttons it improperly leaves Car Mode on. 4. Have the app to properly restore Wi-Fi state upon exit. Thanks for an otherwise great application and for reading.
Much better - and customizable - than stock I love that I can insert widgets in addition to application shortcuts. Two major gripes though, and docking one star for each: 1) I wish that you could move shortcuts/widgets around once they are configured. It is a pain to have to delete a widget or shortcut and re-add it somewhere else if you wan t it moved. 2) If you are adding a larger than 1x1 widget to a screen (say, the Pandora widget), you have to be careful where you press-and-hold on the background in order to add the widget. If you don't click-and-hold on the "left" side of the screen, your widget will be cropped to 1x1 size, rendering the widget only half functional.
Nice app! Does what it's meant to do! Customisable and highly recommended! Just one request. If you could add auto enabling of screen rotation when activating dock mode. Would be wonderful. Thanks :)
Good. No frills. Smooth. Not so good on the Galaxy S4 Now with another device and a new version of this app, I decided to have a go at it (since Car Home Ultra just gets worse each day). And... surprise! It works! PROS: simple, no frills, smooth, small. CONS: home screen scrolling doesn't "wrap around" (must scroll aaalll the waaaaay back to the other end); can't move icons around (must delete, and add in new position - bummer when you notice you long-clicked at the wrong position). And no speed info, etc. Galaxy S4 won't enter car mode :-(
Last fix for ICS software menu button didn't work. This one seems to for my Xoom on ICS, and a user tested on Honeycomb 3.2. Use the software compatibility menu button to access preferences, for controlling the features like landscape/portrait mode, etc...
Fix for lack of menu button on some Honeycomb or ICS devices. A software menu button should appear in your lower nav bar.
