Update - Please make the calendar rotate with the device when in edit mode - thank you for making this app/widget. i have tried them all, in an attempt to switch from the stock android calender. THIS is the only app/widget that I ended up liking, and for so many reasons, customization, stickers, appearance, and no upgrade required. Im telling you the struggle to find a good calender app is real. haha You have officially solved my problem, you are my new calendar!! thank you! A suggestion I would have is to allow the events created to have the option for colored text, or highlighted text, the bar at the beginning of the word you have already done. synced right up to my google calender. THANK YOU!
As a homeschooled student and a PA to both of my parents, I have a lot of things to juggle in my daily schedule. SolCalendar keeps me grounded and focused on my tasks with its to-do fuction that comes alongisde a calendar. It's rare to have both in most apps these days. I also love the simple interface and beautiful widgets which offer the option of being transparent! I use the to-do widget as a complement to my wallpaper and as a reminder to keep me on track. Full five stars from me.
Hands down the best calendar app I have used in over 5 years of owning Android devices. Not only does it have beautiful animations and nice customization options, it also is very functional and combines the best elements of a traditional calendar with to-do lists and goals. The stickers and color options for each event are a nice touch, and I appreciate that there are more options for the recurring events than Google's own calendar app has. Widgets are simple and clean. Highly recommended.
Before stating what I really think, I'm going to lead off with one of those pithy and eloquent comments that folks love to leave on apps ... How the christ do I turn off the effin' tip notifications on this app? I regulate my notifications with militaristic precision. In this case, I've disabled my calendar and to-do notifications on all Google apps, instead leaving this duty entirely to SolCalendar. This is fine as I actually want to be notified of certain things; my meeting with international investors is pretty important, as is my date this friday, and heck, even Cousin Stan's birthday, git though he may be. However, although I've been competently using the app for weeks, personalised it as much as possible, and progressed through all of the initial install prompts and walkthroughs, I still receive occasional incipient notifications. "Hey, why not set up some fitness goals?!" "Did you know you can add to-dos to your calendar?" "Now's the time for some goals in 2017!" </rant> That all said, this is a fantastic calendar app that quickly replaces the stock cal app every time I switch phones. The only thing keeping it away from a full 5-star rating are these annoying tips.
I love this calendar. The only one that gets it right. The minimalism yet feature filled setup. I'm still amazed how subtle yet effective their design is. For example in the to do list widget they keep a white gap between today and the rest. They sync with Google task. (very rare now ). The black font on the calender widget makes all the difference. A big thanks from an organization freak with high standards.
Could use some more functional views Absolutely love it so far! I am using this as a replacement for the sunrise calendar app since it is shut down now. One thing I wish solcalendar had: either a widget or a view of the calendar that gives you that line that scrolls down in real time over the week view and sits at the place where it is the current time. It helps me visualize the "space" between activities I am doing. Also please let us manually choose a zip code or location for weather. Do not force us to turn on GPS for weather
