Only 3 steps to start:
1) Connect the left wheel motor to Port A, the right wheel motor to Port B.
2) Switch on bluetooth of both, LEGO NXT and android.
3) Pair your LEGO NXT with your android device using the dialog "Bluetooth settings" of android.
There exists a number of preference settings to adjust the joystick to your needs. For instance, you can choose between right hand or left hand, you can adjust your preferred velocity range or you can swap the rotation direction of the motors and others more.
Handling of the movement:
When the display changes from blue to green colour, hold your android device in your right hand in front of you in a vertical position with the display facing to the left. Then tilt the android device forwards, your vehicle will move straight forward. Tilt the device backwards. The rest should be intuitive, like driving bicycle. When driving, you never need to look at your display, keep your eyes on your vehicle.
Handling of the move gestures:
If you move your android device in vertical direction with stable orientation, you can start programs or soundfiles on your NXT. There are 6 different gestures: Up once (that is upwards, than downwards), Down Once, Up Twice, Down Twice, Up Triple and Down Triple. Do small and soft movements and keep the orientation of your device until the gesture is finished. The Beep Actions are thought for training purpose.

If you are looking for the Robosapien app go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.wowwee.roboremote
In our attempt to control a swarm of robots we came up with a first draft of an app which will let you connect to a wide range of different robots, including but not limited to toy robots, cleaning robots, flying robots and our self developed arduino robot aka "Dotty". The app allows remote control of the different robots and provides the user with their sensor information. In a later stage the app will make use of the available sensors of each individual robot and control the robots either individually or as a swarm, depending on the task.
The swarm behaviours available in the app will cover subjects like playing (eg. play tag, hide and seek, etc), moving (eg. marching, following, dancing etc), chatting (eg. count each other) and charting (eg. searching, rescuing, guarding etc).
Available Robots are the IRobot Roomba, Lego Mindstorms NXT, Meccano Spykee, Wowwee RoboScooper, Parrot AR Drone and AR Drone 2.0, Brookstone AC13 Rover and Rover 2.0, I-Spy Tank, Replicator and our home-made robot Dotty.
The robots can be controlled remotely by means of arrow buttons, the smartphone's built-in accelerometer and the newly added joystick. Where available, autonomous functions and individual features can be executed for each robot.
Next to the remote control, the sensor data of the robots can be displayed on the smartphone. These sensors are individual for each robot and range from basic sensors like Light and Battery to Audio and Video Streams.
For a more detailed description of each robot as well as support or information about setup and prerequisites please refer to the blog posts and forum on our website http://www.dobots.nl.
As a first step towards swarm behaviour and to be a simple showcase we chose to implement dancing for the robots. The available robots can be grouped and a dance can be created out of simple moves such as Forward / Backward / Left / Right, etc. Once a dance is started, the robots will execute each move until the dance is over.
The app is still under heavy development and although a lot of our current stock of robots were added already there is lots of interesting stuff to come
- More Robots! A swarm can never be too big! There is still the Surveyor, the SpyGear Trakr, the Finch and the Terrain Twister. But we are always looking for more, so if you know of any other robots with sensor which could be added to our collection let us know!
- We just started to tickle the iceberg of swarm control behaviours and our next ventures will be in the field of Multi Robot SLAM
- Interface robots with home automation systems, thus enabling them to interact with their surroundings and/or benefiting from sensors in their environment.
- And not forgetting, the robots want to be hooked up to the Internet and the cloud
If you are interested you should definitely check back on our website http://www.dobots.nl where we will keep track of the development. But also the app is completely open source; you can find the code at https://github.com/eggerdo/swarm-control. Feel free to contribute and add your own robots to the list or let us know which ones you want to see added!

GOOD LUCK HAVE FUN
good luck, have fun is an incredibly good looking veteran massively multiplayer online game developer, who once was the creative force behind the popular-yet-somehow-shutdown online game, LEGO Universe. He decided since he helped create one of the most complex pieces of entertainment software on the planet, he might as well make the simplest as well to cover the full spectrum of possibility. Click! is the result of that grand vision, and already has hundreds of millions of players who have never heard of it.

You can affect this moment.
Enjoy its passing.
Will you get what you expect if you attempt to control the moment?
Or will you see unintended consequences?
Can you extend the moment by your actions?
Or will you enjoy the moment more if you just let it go?
Can you control the events that surround you?
Or are you better off to let events play out on their own?
“Shiva’s cosmic dance has no purpose. It is the spontaneous expression of overflowing bliss; it is art." -Abhinavagupta
How to Play
- One Moment in time is always chasing the next Moment. They are never quite able to connect.
- You try to enJoy the Moments as they occasionally intersect, but they will not last forever.
- You can affect the flow of one Moment to the next, but you must spend precious Time to do so.
- You will enJoy the Moments significantly more the less often you disrupt their flow yourself.
- Be careful: if you allow Interruptions to disrupt the Moments, Time will be wasted and your enJoyment will lessen.
- Moments that are too far apart will waste Time as well.
- This game is meant to be relaxing and meditative. Try playing it with a different mindset than other mobile games.
A portion of net proceeds from this game will be donated to charity: water to help provide clean drinking water around the world to those in need. Buy this game and help solve a real world problem!
Don:t Let It End is the debut solo mobile game from Ryan Seabury , the former creative director of LEGO Universe, a 10+ year veteran of online game design and development. DLIE was concepted, coded, and created by Ryan as a personal artistic expression.
“I don’t get it... it just wastes my time.” My 7 year old son said this to me randomly one day, after he accidentally discovered and played an early version of this game idea on my iPad. I knew at that moment that it was ready. I told him, “Exactly!”
Don:t Let It End is an expression of an impossible sentiment. The idea was sparked in a moment that I never wanted to end. Inevitably, it ended. I thought a lot about that, and in my mind I imagined the flow of time as it is realized in this game.
I developed this at very sparse intervals over the course of two years--two very emotional and challenging years in my life. During this time, Don:t Let It End became intensely personal to me. As this time went by, I experienced life and death, marriage and divorce, love and hate, joy and pain. Every intense moment, high or low, colored and shaped Don:t Let It End. It sort of became this game of a mesmerizing metaphor for my life journey.
Some days, I would be bopping my head as I coded a new feature. Sometimes, I would be reduced to tears revisiting moments past as I tested it. Sometimes, I would just stare at the screen and watch the moments flow around each other for hours. I let the game find itself and just added what felt right at each opportunity I had to work on it.
The game’s musical theme is “Spe Dolor”, an original composition by Richard Dekkard, who I would like to thank a million times for his gracious permission to allow me to use this beautiful track.
Don:t Let It End is completely ad-free and has no in-app purchasing to bother you. I did not want to distract from the ideas and feelings I’m trying to communicate. Try it out, it doesn’t cost much. If you love it, let me know with a nice rating and inspire me to make something else. If you hate it, at least you felt something. If you aren’t sure what to think of it, that’s OK too. If enough people like it, maybe I’ll add support for leaderboards or some of the other ideas I didn’t get around to in version 1.0.
Don:t Let It End is a simple idea: No matter what you do, moments in time will not last forever. Make the most of them with the time that you have.
I made Ume Ume for myself as a single father of three boys who CONSTANTLY argue over whose turn it is with everything. I looked for an existing app, but the few that are out there are either paid apps, or they make you do silly things like register an account or signup through social networking. I just wanted something simple that got the job done, so I made my own. Some friends said they would love something like this too, so I put it up for the world to enjoy.
It's really simple. Just set up who you want to take turns with (the Whos) and what you want to take turns at (the Whats). Set a timer from 1 minute to years. You can also track turns manually without a timer.
Great for parents to track whose turn it is with video games, the mobile phone, or whatever toy they happen to all be wanting today. I've found it's also great for managing chore rotations. For example, whose turn is it to do the dishes, walk the dog, or take out the trash.
Just in time for Christmas... Ume Ume is perfect for keeping sane on taking turns with all those great new toys the kids just unwrapped under the tree!
A portion of all of Ume Ume's advertising revenue will be donated to the SENS Research Foundation, a 501(c)(3) public charity that is transforming the way the world researches and treats age-related disease. Learn more at www.sens.org. Each time you use Ume Ume, you are helping all of humanity have a longer turn at life!
Enjoy and watch for more features coming soon to Ume Ume to make your life easier!
If you like Ume Ume, please tell your friends about it, and don't forget to rate and review it so more people can find it!
