ZotEZ is a third-part client on Android for synchronizing, sorting and downloading articles that are managed with Zotero, and stored on either Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive , and even locally.

ZotEZ aims at facilitating file management for users of Zotero that chose to store their library database on another Cloud than the default ones (webDav, Zotero servers).

ZotEZ is the "read-only" version of a bigger project (Aziz, see Aziz, Lite! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.ezbio.azizlite for more info) intended to provide editing options as well as full side note management, for any of these reference management softwares: Papers (see our app EZPaperz), Zotero, and Mendeley (see MendEZ).

Free features :

Syncing of your papers' library with Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive. Or just accessing your local Zotero copy.

Listing of papers / books and displaying their main information (title, authors, publisher, year published, ...).

Downloading the pdf of the paper when available

Sharing the pdf of the paper when available

Searching within references

Advanced filters: favorites

Advanced settings:
- resetting library data and reference manager type
- deleting local files
- hiding advanced metadata (labels, flags, etc.)

(Beta) Secondary storage: you can choose to store the downloaded PDFs either on the internal memory or an external SD card!

(Beta) Fast Loading of papers: if you have a large number of papers, you can choose to load them at the same time as they are displayed, so that you can access them while the others are still loading.

Far from perfect but acceptable. The synchro with dropbox is able to identify all the files in my library but is able to link only 250 pdf out of 680. It seems able to synchronise pdf with available metadata. For the others there is no access despite the files being on the tablet. Idem for files that are not pdf. No access to the notes. At least it allows some relatively good access to a cloud or local zotero database for a relatively cheap price. The interface is pleasant. And there is not much choice for zotero on Android.

Works as it should be! Dropbox failed, but with OneDrive it gives you what it was promised. Yet, with large collections (cca. 3000 publications) it needs time to kick in. Update: Yes, I've tried the fast loading option. Works well. Now the problem is, that I can't reach all of my pdf files. I couldn't figure it out what is the trigger, but many of them are locked up and I can't download them to my device (the cloud icon is grayed out and does nothing). On my desktop PC all are working perfectly.

My Zotero files are correctly synched across all my pcs, but when using Zotez on my tablet, some files get the error, java.io.FileFileNotFoundException. I have checked the file on all pcs and the repository and it does exist. No idea what is going on. Very unhappy as Zotez used to work fine.

The application forces an evaluation before you have the chance to evaluate it. At this stage it hangs on linking to a local copy of the zotero dB

Cool, but still missing custom webdav sync Personally, I'm unable to use any cloud drives (they are blocked by our IT), so I use my own webdav server. The app provides an option to use "local" zotero library, which means that I'm able to sync it with a 3rd party tool. That's cool. But this solution still looks a bit ugly and unsafe (sync conflicts are more possible) - so, imho, it would be very nice if there would be an ability to set up custom webdav connection. It's nice to see that webdav support is already mentioned as a feature to add :)

Promising, but too many crashes when library is large. Error after buying full version: An error has occurred! net. Ezbio. util. Inappbilling. IabException: Error refreshing inventory(querying owned items). (response: -1003: Purchase signature verification failed)
