I wish Jim would pick this up again & fix some bugs/update it. It's easily, imo, the best news app out there. I'd happily pay for it too. Just imagine, at £1/user, Jim could easily earn £1m if everyone who downloaded it previously supported him. Even if only 5% of people coughed up, that's still £50k for a few days' work. Come on Jim, how about it?
"Media playback is unsupported on this device" keeps appearing recently. Normally I would give it 5 stars. I tried installing something to play the videos but it hasn't made a difference. Android Sony Xperia. A week later and still can't watch the videos. Only a recent problem but about half the headlines I click on are videos at the moment and it's very frustrating....
Favorite app for years. I'd check it multiple times a day.. It's just not taken care of anymore. Half the articles are unsupported videos, categories don't work. It's a shame, I'd gladly pay for the app if it was updated, I have to use something else now.
Media not available for this devise! All I want to do is read the article!!!! Do you think everyone has lost the art of reading? If I wanted to watch a video, I'd go to YouTube! GIVE ME BACK THE OPTION TO READ THE NEWS!
I like this app but have one problem. When there are videos as part of a news story it will not play them saying: "Media playback is not supported on your device" I thought maybe it's just that particular device and it will surely work on others. But, no, I've tried it on several other devices with similar disappointing results. I have to switch to the BBC News app itself to watch video. Please find a solution for this problem.
Can you flag stories that are video...or better still allow samsung phone users to play the videos. It is really annoying to click on an interesting item only fir it to go to media not supported on your device
The default feed is now Front Page, as Most Popular has been unreliable lately - many thanks for the reports.
