Time ranges ignored on marshmallow Time range set to turn WiFi off at 9:30, but it never does. The time range settings worked in Kit Kat. Nexus 5, running 6.0.1 with latest patches installed.
Nice idea But unfortunately, a cell phone tower area is a very big location, so this app is going to leave Wi-Fi enabled when you walk along the street in your urban neighborhood, or another urban neighborhood, past numerous hotspots which aren't preferred, defeating the purpose. The simple solution is to make it only connect in a familiar location AND when there's a preferred network in range.
Location growing Over time, the location that was limited to a half block from my house has grown to nearly a mile. I only connect to a couple custom named routers so it's unlikely that it's trying to connect to other routers.
Real battery saver Enabling wifi only where I need it is a huge battery saver on my phone at least. Have found developer very responsive to bug reports
Great app does exactly what it says and well.
Have used this for years. Loved it. But now on my Xperia Z5 it often doesn't connect back to my WiFi when I return home. It turns radio on, but no connection. Unsure if the phone or the app with Lollipop. Previous phone was HTC One M7 and this app was flawless on KitKat.
Don't check for multiuser on versions older than 4.3 (fixes crash on pre-JB devices)
Aggressively check permissions every time before use in case user has removed them before an alarm triggers
Fix permission request loop if permission system things we have to show the explanation
Save battery, protect privacy and manage your wireless networks automatically.
