Great App. Works well. I made a shortcut for each colour (15) and all the colours as round icons (I'm using green at the moment, but can change to match my wallpaper or colour scheme). And you can put in a folder, just try dragging diagonally or through top or bottom of folder (sideways usually moves folder). The name of the app was a bit confusing - I had to reinstall and look for last apps used in play store to find your apps name again to review it. ★★★★★
Does what it says on the tin. It provides a shortcut to the native file manager and cuts out the need to go through menus
When I installed it, I got nothing new. No icon in the app drawer, no shortcut via widgets options (thinking it was only available that way, but nothing there either) tried other apps that offer creating shortcuts from other apps (like a launcher that shows Activity shortcuts from an app for example) nothing. Nowhere was this to be found. Switched back to the Play Store and hit the Open button, and got the "intended" behavior that way. Given that experience, I reviewed accordingly. BUT. Reinstalling yet again, I get the app icon you speak of. This is on a Pixel 2 XL 8.1.0 stock.
This app is amazing! Prevents you from having to manually go into settings to open your files. Should be default for sure.
What a beautiful and simple app for the task of simplifying getting to a file browser which should be on the desktop of all operating systems for all platforms.
Brilliant. Creates the entry with one click. Cannot be any better. Google should have offered this.
Added support for android 8.0 (Oreo).
If you are on Android 8.0, you won't be able to customize the icon appearance, create shortcut and uninstall this app (this will work only on Android 7.0) - instead, this app is your "shortcut" to the default (embedded) file explorer.
